sir cant tel u much abt ur route frm karachi to lahore...
but frm lahore onwards u cn use the M2 upto islamabad...
or u cn use M1 n branch off towards abbottabad..
    then mansehra,,balakot....
the journey til balakot is absolutely fine...road condition is gud...
frm balakot onrwards the real steep uphill starts..the road is pretty much in gud condition,,depends on weather,,if its raining then u cn experience landslides...becoz according to the locals after the 2005 earthquake that areas has alot of landslides...
the road till naran is gud,,wide n ull b having no problems hopefully..Best of luck!!!

    KYC to LHR 18-20 hrs
    KYC to RWP 22-24 Hrs
(No night stay in b/w only fuel,Prayers, food & call of nature break).
If u intend to stay at LHR then go there or else direct to RWP
Above is for 2 drivers else take a night stay at Bhawalpur (12 hrs from KYC).
It looks u r only Driver with little kids take a break & do not go straight to LHR or RWP.
    The Route is
    KYC-LHR
    KYC-HYD-MORO-SUKKUR-SADIQABAD-BHAWALPUR-MULTAN-LHR
    (pl take all city bypasses)
    • 2

    KYC-MULTAN-MUZAFFARGARH-MIANWANLI-TALAGANG-CHAKWAL-RWP.

    this is one of the wonderful place to visit with family and i hope you will find this trip memorible.. please also see my comments per your questions below;

    1. My car is Toyota Corolla 2.0D Saloon [Diesel] 2003

your ride is perfect, just make sure all machanical works are checked before you leave.. which is a normal routine..

    2. I need information about Karachi to Lahore road condition / duration / any stay before Lahore

If you will be going through Lahore, there is no other route option but National Highway-N5, which is good in condition overall except few patches in Sindh.. since you will be with family, it would suggest to stay halfway, may be in Rahim Yar Khan or Bhawalpur.. i dont have any detail about hotels on N5, but some experts can help to provide some guidance..

    3. Any idea road distance (Km) from Karachi to Lahore then Kaghan / Naran

visit maps.google.com, you can find out distances by location.. very helpful site..

    4. What is the best route from Islamabad to Kaghan / Naran

Karachi to Lahore via N5, then Lahore onward, follow motor way-M2 till Islamable and then continue to M1 and get exit to Burhan exchange for Hassanabdal and then to Haripur, Abbotabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Kaghan Valley.. above website can provide you complete route..

    5. What is the Road conditions from Islamabad to Kaghan / Naran

its great overall.. but there are some patches after balakot but those are also managable..

    6. Advice the good Economical hotel for Family with Hot water and other facilities in Kaghan and Naran

there are plenty of hotels.. you can choose by your own.. last time i stayed in Erum hotel which is in main Naran bazar and also provide good car parking..

    7. is any problem for small Kids

not at all just keep warm cloths and some basic medicines with you.. weather can change at any time and nights are quite chilly there.. i hope your family will enjoy this weather..

    8. Any other useful information would be highly appreciated.

since you are going by road and with family.. avoid driving in nights and have good rest.. check all tools, keep one torch and tow rope, recheck all your vehicle's paper and also keep Highway Code of Conduct book with papers as well as also arrange NoC from ACLC.. these two things are really not necessary but sindh police asks them near to sindh punjab border..

    wish you a great trip..

actually during the past couple of years many ppl have started going to kaghan valley (due to easy accesibility and swat kalam situation) so the rates have gone up exponentially. this year mayb u feel the rates r very different than what have been predicted here.

    agreed.
In fact now the preferred destination for everyone is naran if they don't want to visit nathiya gali. And this sudden influx of tourist is making things expensive there..
Qaiser Pal,I have not failed. But found 1 of 10,000 ways which doesn't work.....Toyota driver "I couldn't repair my brakes,so i made my horn louder"..When i was born i was so surprised that i didn't talked to one and half year..since light travel faster then sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak..If u can't convince them, confuse them

    Hope this will help you..

From Rawalpindi you can Go abbotabad via murree nathia Gali, which is almost same as going abbotabad via Hassanabad Havelian and Haripur.

From Karachi to Hyderabad you may user super highway or national highway.

Hyderabad to Lahore via N-5 and Lahore to Isb on Motorway M-2 (Distance 360 km)

Otherwise,,, you may Come Multan, and from Multan you may go Jhang, Faisalaabad, Motorway M-3 and then Motorway M-2 from Pindi Bhatyan. (This may take 7 hourz from Multan to Pindi via this route(550 Km). Daewoo also use this route. It is shorter 150 Km as compare to Lahore and then Lahore to Isb Via Motorway (This route 700 Km from Multan to Pindi)

    Tk cre.
