speaking of 6 cyl, Ive swapped a few 1999 Galant GDIs with 6A12 and 6A13 engines, complete whole nine yards, touch panel A/C, manual select (auto gears - aka tiptronic). The whole shabbang.
The 6A12 is a 2.0 litre V6 for mitsubishi. Its very smooth (saves engine mounts - and zero vibration on running) Sounds very very good too. The fuel consumption compared to its 4 cyl counterpart 4G63 SOHC NA engine was slightly higher - I would say a difference of 1 km/liter. but the tradeoff is the sound and smooth acceleration.
Xulfiqar bhai I am convinced that 1G is a lot more smoother then 3S.. a number of other gurus have suggested/preferred 1G on other forums too. I had a bit of reservation regarding the consumption..
I think i better go for 1G.. lets see how it perform...
Can you tell me what is the difference between VVTi and normal 1Gs? VVti introduced after 1998 (in 1G), any visible part attached with the engine to make sure that the engine is VVTi variant?
