In last 10 years I've had experience with following tyres
General Eurostar on a Honda city, cc5 on another city
Eurostars on corolla gli 2010 and 2018, some chinese tyres on 2018 gli as well
On a prefacelift grande (Blu earth, advan db, veuro 303)
Stock A drive on altis X
Advan Db, Dunlop sp sport (can't remember which one), GTR BG Luxo on corolla 2004 non abs (a car very prone to losing grip on braking)
Now I'd say are euro stars bad absolutely, they slip very easily and ride becomes stiff after 10k km. And since eurostars were in market for a long time as stock tyres on popular pkdm cars. These have affected the reputation of General Tyres. Just like a few years ago HP laptops were cheaper than dell in pakistani used laptop market owing to overheating issues. Did the issues exist, yes but with dv series laptops (specifically dv6 was very prone to overheating) but other models were doing fine. Now DV series was core 2 duo but the bad reputation and low market value in Pakistani market persisted for upto 4th gen core i series laptops.
Similarly BG series is something else than eurostars, would absolutely recommend over chinese tyres or even japanese smuggled tyres which were smuggled by folding to save on space and freight cost, then date restamped. I've had the tread on Chinese tyres separate from casing within 10k km and wheel balancing/ vibration issues with smuggled japanese tyres the tyre loses its roundness due to being kept folded for too long.
On BG luxo I'm driving nowadays, The grip is good, haven't faced noise issue, single puncture in 4 years of driving (ran over that tyre on a bakelite electric switchboard with a nail sticking out, it flew in front of tyre due to aandhi so neither my nor tyre's fault), comfort is fine and u can drive it on rough roads without worrying about cuts or punctures (whole sialkot was repaved by govt, and I drove faster on gravel laid roads than so called crossover SUVs)
I'd say while on motorways there's no second to advan db & veuro. BG series is indeed value for daily driving on urban and rural roads, gt roads and occasional trips on motorways.
