Today's Update: Recleaning the engine again and then getting it ready to be planted into the Vespa
ENGINE WORK:
Allhamdolilah the engine has been sealed! The main shaft which mounts all the bearings and sprockets was balanced by a machinist who added weights to it along with that there was a new bearing added to the crank shaft which replaced a cheap rubber bit that was placed in that spot by someone God knows when, apart from that new seals, nuts, bolts and miscellaneous things were added. The rest of the engine bearings, sprockets, gear changer, clutch plates and small springs and bits etc were in pristine condition so little to no things were added! The parts were just cleaned thoroughly. Luckily the carburetor was fine as I was worried about it not being working properly as the mileage it was giving prior to being parked wasn't good. The rubber bushings inside the engine mounting points will be replaced with new as well. Will use Caltex 2Stroke oil 20w40 or 20w50 for breaking the engine iA

Main Body Wiring Harness:
I am running a led tail light, may be a front projector light and a 12V horn so I have planned to upgarde to a 12V point system which means that I have traded my old 6v stator plate and flywheel with a newer gen 12V stator plate and flywheel, along side that I am adding a 9Amp battery, a rectifier, battery charger and a circuit breaker switch, so that the lights and horn can get DC supply instead of an AC supply that the stator generates.
Rectifier
Crossover
Main ignition Switch
BENEFITS:
This intervention will reduce the flickering of lights and stalls in the electrical system to potentially zero which usually happens with older 2 strokes which do not have a CDI. The main benefit is that the lights will be brighter and will make the ride experience better at night.
My build doesn't have CDI! It is still going to have points
SAFETY:
Wiring loom used will be that of a new Px so that minimal splicing of the wires is done. I have provided the ustad with heat shrink so that there are no bare wires and that the new connections made a electrically safe with proper grounding.
Engine Wiring Harness:
Another important addition for smooth functioning and smooth starting of the engine is by adding a JDM Suzuki Alto's starter coil and a JDM spark plug wire as they make the starting smooth and effortless InshAllah.
In the picture below the Jdm Alto starting coil with plug wire and bosch 12v horns.
Don't forget to get the oem plug with the coil if you plan to do this upgrade
Will add more pictures as we go along it's tough keeping up with work and restoration work as both are important. MashAllah
