the suction line should be sweating cold not frosting over. anyway - the clutch can be changed with compressor in place because you can actually see the compressor pulley from the side when you remove all panels. The older Hondas were not like this.
@capsat, the ECON button is what is says - economy, it makes the A/C compressor switch off at a higher temperature, it can only function with the correct A/C amplifier in place with original A/C evap sensor. Most (read 99%) of such cars have it muddled up and both buttons do the exact same thing - run the compressor.
my MB has this too - The germans had a sense of humor in this case, they completely eliminated A/C compressor function with that button.
