well, guys never use the reconditioned tyres. i learned the hard way on eid holidays, when actually my tyre burst due to large pothole at highway and at that unfortunate car time speed was about 90km and faced sahi ki khuwari as tyre shops were closed (well, even new tyre at that speed might also brust).
Believe me now my car drive is much smooth, better grip and better breaks after getting new tyres (two frontal only). Will change the back wheels after couple of weeks.
I had choice to get either:
- Dunlop truing i guess; (latest make is available)
- Chinese with 2 year warrantee (don’t remember names)
- Hankook and other.
And well, after research I went with yokohama. Checked with Shaikh Brothers, and they informed me that these tryres 165/65/13 are no longer made by Yokohama and get Nankang. Well, I got them from other shop (make of 40+W, 2015). But yes, dunlop is most commonly available.

Any good denter and painter in Lahore. I am a newbie driver and just got my car`s rear right door edge and adjoining body hit by a donkey cart. It lost paint at two small spots but the dent is a medium one (about 1 inch into body). How will my car`s resell value be affected if i just repair the dent and how much will it depreciate if i get those small patches painted. Its a 2011 model alto vxr. Yesterday it rained a lot and i had to travel on my Alto for a work and due to poor sewerage system came across water on road more than 1feet high,,,,,, i faced following problem....
1. Car was on CNG and it started taking jerks in the middle of water and i got lucky to convert the car from CNG to petrol and then engine was running fine and i crossed the water.
2. Secondly today i saw that carpet on the floor of my alto were completely wet. first i thought it was due to AC drain but i checked that water and AC drain was working fine and i came to conclusion that water came inside one i was crossing high water.
My car is ALTO 2011, 50K milage and in excellent condition....i shared it for others betterment and if anyone has idea for the above 2 issues.....
Check the rubber grommets in the floor. Some might be missing. The Keeling is due to exposed electrical connections. Could be hanging wires under the car or in engine bay.
