BTW Guys, how do you clean throttle body.. ?

I get my car maintained by Toyota but they charge a lot... had 2010 Belta for more than a year...

What are good quality options to get car maintained at a lower cost yet not compromising on quality too much ?

& Stick to iridiums. period... clean them regularly & change them after 15-20k
I thought the RMP could not be adjusted????

Pls give me contact of the person in Lahore who can do that.

yeah as the car gets old... it is recommended to be done regularly after 2-3000 km or whenever u feel the car needs it. u need to check this RPM issue at the earliest to keep it controlled..otherwise if you wont it will keep on increasing & become a Headache at every signal..especially in summers.. best of Luck

    Dear Bro,

    Hassle free = Belta (indeed).

I too have had Margalla 1996 then City 2001 and now on Belta 2010 (Fresh import) for past 1 year.

Car is good in all aspects and a good choice indeed. If all goes well insha-Allah your experience will be as good as mine for having first new (although not zero meter) car.

    Hope this helps...

Guyz how would you compare Belta with corrolla 2010 in terms of features, parts availability, ride height, and mileage????

I need to buy one of them and am in a dillemma...the car will be mostly driven by driver, sometimes by me, daily drive of approx 50 kms and that too fully loaded...

    Vicky bhai,

If "Fully Loaded" go for Corolla , Belta would hit many "Humps"/Car brakers in Karachi even if you change the OEM tyres..

Corolla comes with "rough road package" in Pakistan whereas JDMs are meant for Japanese roads...

Finally! After waiting forever, I finally got a hold of the required parts and got this done at last (I copied the write up I did on the Yarisworld)

    Required parts:

    1. OEM airbag cover (for multi-function controls, also airbag cover for the Belta and the Vitz is different as both have a different texture on the cover).

    2. OEM multi-function button/switch assy (now there are two types, left side controls have track up and down, volume up and down and MODE with the other side empty and the other one has all these features on the left with the Bluetooth/phone connectivity on the right with call end/receive and voice command). I got the one without the Bluetooth functions as my head-unit doesn't have a Bluetooth option.

    3. OEM clockspring which supports multi-function controls connection (I didn't need another clockspring, my audio guy made a harness and installed it with the original clockspring).

Also, there is this neat feature I didn't know existed. If you hold the MODE button for 2-3 seconds the head-unit turns OFF and when you hold it again it turns ON, I found this feature to be highly useful. It keeps you from diverting your attention whilst driving.

Special thanks to @akramzahid for giving me the airbag cover at a discounted price and replacing the airbag assembly from the old cover into the new one without any charges. If you guys want these parts @akramzahid is your guy to contact.

Here are some pictures of the parts and finished product, just have these low-quality cell phone pictures for now. Will post detailed pictures later.

    Required OEM airbag cover

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - 54794

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - 54795

    Required buttons/switch assy

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club -1527328

Original airbag cover and airbag assembly removed

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - 54796

Old airbag cover (notice the difference between this one and the new one, you cannot fit the switches in the old one as there is no open space to do so)

Toyota Belta Owners & Fan Club - 54797

The airbag had to be removed from this old airbag cover into the new one. The airbag assembly is bolted on by steel rivets which have to be opened and then closed by a special tool which I didn't have. The guy whom I bought the parts told me he would do it, so I couriered it over to him.

All the prices for Air and AC filter and engine oil look like a total rip off to me.

    regards,
Sir to be honest 2007 and and 54000 done is just not right. Just not possible.
I would suggest you to change it asap. And use only toyota genuine CVT fluid.
Plus if your pocket allows, i'd highly recommend draining and changing the engine coolant and the brake fluid too. (use only the toyota genuine "super long life coolant" or some equivalent one). It is a part of regular maintenance.
