You can use a solution of some mild acid and scrubbing pad. And also you can use car shampoo to clean glass. This is the best way to fix problem.

thanks for all your suggestions.. i tried cleaning with vinegar+detergent and glass cleaner, but it was useless.

The thing JALA or contaminant or sludge are the deposits on screen which can be removed with chemicals but scratches cannot. Scratches can be removed with buffing only.

Margallar has has suggested clay bar and that can be a good thing to try but my problem is not scratches it only the sludge.

I tried buffing on my old margalla due to spreading of light at night and minor scratches and after buffing it was all clear and neat. But i heared from some guys that it weakens the screen. IS that true.?

If we try cleaning with mild acid then which acid is good.? I mean can we try bathroom cleaner sweap acid.?

It does take off a layer of glass, and if your scratches are deep enough the screen can also delaminate. A good cleaning of the screen can be done with some soap/ammonia soution and a blade, Clay bar can also remove the wax buildup, wet the glass with glint and work away only in small pieces - dont try to clay the whole glass at once.

Xulfiqar bhai, you suggested ammonia sol. Its easily available in market, but on one website I read that ammonia containing glass cleaners should not be used on tinted glasses. IS it also true for normal laminated glasses.?

and also suggest, Can we wax the car glass with carnuba wax or we shouldn't. I once did it on my prev car and that glazed the glass very good.

vinegar is acetic acid
bathroom cleaner is week hydrochloric acid.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to get my windscreen polished or buffed. I know that there are windscreen polishing kits abroad specially meant for this purpose, they've even put up basic instructions on how to do it yourself : -http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-to-remove-windshild-scratches/ . But we don't have access to those kits over here of course and most of the people at Montgomery Road seem to be Major rip offs.

Is there any Place in Lahore (Like Espirit in KHI) that does a good job of polishing windscreens?

So it looks like we'll have to find Cerium Oxide itself or a Metal Polish that contains it.

I think its better to get the formula somehow of the solution which the guys use to clean the screen at Montgomery road Lahore. But they don't tell the formula.

always use liquid dish wash mixed in water wipe clean with soft cloth, no abrasive stuff on windscreens ever
