Alright Guys,

I am gonna redo my whole audio video setup again. This time i am going to post each and every step with the help of some pics and literature.

Although it will be going to be a very slow process (since i only have weekends to work on my car) yet detailed thread so please bear with me.

I hope this thread might be of some help to others who need some info regarding their installations :). Nope its not to impress the "Kids"

Equipment List:

Head Unit - Pioneer AVH-P6050DVD
Processor – JBL MS-8
Apple Interface -CD-IB100 II (ipod adaptor).
Ipod - 8GB Nano
Center Channel – Focal K2 Power 100 KRS
Front Stage – Focal 165 KRX2 (Active)
Rear Surrounds – Focal 165 CV1 (6.5in 2-way coax)
Subwoofer – Focal Polyglass 33 V2 (13 inch audiophile grade subwoofer)
Sub Enclosure – 1 Cuft (made from 1inch imported MDF)
Speaker Amplifiers – 2 x Focal FP 4.75 Limited Edition.
Sub Amplifier– Focal FP 1.800 LE Limited Edition
Rear View Camera– Kenwood CCD-2000
Headrest Monitors - 7inch LCDs X 2Units
Circuit Breaker – Stinger SCB150 (150 Amperes)
Power Wires – Stinger Expert Series 4 AWG
Speaker Wires – OEHLBACH 2.5mm2.
Damping – 2x Dynamat Bulk Packs and DynaXorb.
Interconnects – 2x Stinger Expert Series SX12, 3x Audioquest G-Snake and 1x Oehlbach NF Series subwoofer RCA.

So here it is the whole install thread at your disposal.

Criticism is welcomed from anyone. Bull Crap isn't :)

If anyone here thinks that there is something i am doing wrong or should be done otherwise, please do point out and also provide with an authentic solution. Just complaining isn't good enough. The whole install will be in front of you so "Speak now or forever hold your peace"

I will keep on posting as the installation comes along.

Surely will cover that too when it comes to changing/ routing RCAs

First of all I opened the Poshish aka plactic panel of the doors and went to a denter to get the metal cut-out widened, since it was very small for the KRX2. KRX2 have got a very massive basket He used a torch to cut the excessive metal.

^^Sorry i took the pic after wards. will from now take the pics exactly when the work is being done.

After that 1st step of my install was to Dynamat the doors.

Firstly i got me hands on the Dynamat Roller and a Black & Decker heat gun.

To Dynamat the car you also need Dynamat So i got me some Dynamat Xtream Bulk Packs

The metal parts of the doors were cleaned with the help of Kerosine oil, petrol as solvents to remove dirt n that black sticky goo after that i used CTC as a de-greaser. Doors were cleaned from both inner and outer skin.

After that Dynamat was applied to the outer skin, Dynamat advises to damp the outer skin too, to avoid booms, echos and rattles

Today after office, if the daylight permits i will install DynaXorb at the outer skin of the door exactly behind the speakers mounting.

and also route the heavier speaker wire for the krx2 woofer/mid. I acquired the OEHLBACH 13 awg speaker wire for that matter (its an excellent wire)

Did some work today after arriving home from office, could have done more but due to lack of day light i was restrained

Routed the Oehlbach speaker wires to the doors though the Original wiring harness of the car, In the pics it looks simple, but was actually pain in the ***, got many cuts on my hands while doing it

This is the harness you are after to route the wires though.

Pulled them out with the help of a "-" shaped screwdriver from both sides and then pulled out the wire clips too (white n blue)

Pushed a slaver through the harness hole to guide the speaker wire through the harness.

what i did was taped the wire with the slaver and then i pulled out the slaver, this way the wire was routed through the harness with ease.

Pushed the harness back to its place and Voila..! all done

Sir how is this wiring harness system different from that of corolla? What are the benefits of routing speaker wire via this route? any risks?

Sir actually all the wires inside the door are routes through this harness, may it be speaker wire, central locking, power windows etc. SO its better to route the wires through the harness, both aesthetically and its the right way to do it
