Im working on transferring most of my music to something portable. I like to listen to original CDS most of them bought abroad
as that option is not reliable over here. ......Now obviously it is not always convenient to transport all of my CDS around with me to here.....So I thought of the USB option and ripped one of my CDS to FLAC format first.
Then converted it from FLAC to 320kpbs format.......
But the songs seemed to lack punch, bite, depth and were "light" in the 320kpbs format. I thought this is no good.
What now? Well then I converted the FLAC files into WAV 16bit 44100 as my ultimate goal is complete lossless tracks. Not lossy at all. Lossless This obviously takes up more space but I do not mind purchasing an external USB hard drive 3.0 and cutting it up into FAT32 portion if the lossless works perfectly.
Now some people say it is a placebo and that humans cannot hear that fine but I still noticed a 5% difference.
I thought although way better than the USB 320kpbs format it was still sounding abit short of cd quality depth and punch and also was sounding abit "mechanical and electronic"
WAV 16 bit 44100 is supposed to be completely lossless and exact to CD quality.
Which leads me to two questions:
Is it my imagination or is the above mentioned WAV format exact to CD quality ?
If it is not my imagination then is there any better format out there that can provide complete lossless music.
I wish the 99 played FLAC format as that just sounds music to my ears so to speak;)
