Been a long time since i saw some action in my own car...... So recently i'd been thinking to come back with a SPL setup........ and heres how it starts

Congratulation on this setup mate. Do share the install log as well. Just for the sake of curiosity i want to ask that why you bought 6500 F. Your all 4 speakers are under powered. You should have fed them with Wrms at their peak power level handling.

got rid of the type R components.......

Problem: coudnt use a spacer (not enough space) and without the spacer it hit the windows when it came down

Next up: Slimmer Components

Doing this small DIY will do wonders NO DOUBT...... i deadnd the front doors of another car with Jambolen Foam (Cheap alternative to PEEL & SEAL and Dynamite), pushed the volume to 30 and adjusted the balence front/rear.

The front doors were dampened inside and outside and hardly anything could be heard ouside. the rear speakers were a nightmare (seemed as if the speakers were facing outwards)

The best part is the music inside the car changes completly too

So startd with the front and rear door's of the Xtrail (trunk area already done).....

AND thanks to WAPDA, had to work half time in the dark

no setup is complete without some old school stuff..... and i found mine

Pioneer TS-F1695 6.5" 3-Way coaxials...... Still brand new and never opened:D these were bought by my dad back in the 90's maybe for his Mercedes 190D... never used them

nice find those pioneer speakers. how much is the space between the window and the body panel? how much space is in the front? cos most of the components have a mounting depth that i think will not fit. maybe pioneer 1720 or sony 1621 will fit. try a thinner spacer maybe? is the grill on the door card removable?
