Default Problems in Honda Civic 1.8

This thread is only about problems in Civic 1.8. No irrelevant replies are allowed here. And only owners are allowed to reply here. Just like problems in 09 corolla and 09 city is running this is only related to civic 1.8 (from its introduction in Pakistan).
It is impossible to please everybody.

Well it is smooth now and the problem is gone, maybe it was there since the car was new at that time

I bought civic reborn 2012 manual transmission
Car is just gives owsam dirving experience after Gli
There is no problem at all
But my friend is forcing me to replace its orignal spark plugs with 4tips german plugs "Bosch super 4"
Guide me about their advantages and disadvantage
Should i replace them for more pick and fuel efficiency?

the body is big as compared to city , so there is little inconvenience while reversing or taking a 3 way turn in narrow streets.. and there r generally more blind spots than an average car/saloon

Brother your car already had NGK IZFR6K11S iridium plugs which costs 1,300 rupees / plug and is 3 times as expensive than the Bosch Super 4.

dont replace them .. stick to stock ones
u have a 2012 model which means its under warranty by the manufacturer for 2 or 3 years .. use aftermarket plugs - warranty void
and honda is not a goof to equip inferior quality spark plugs

yes replace from a 3S dealer and get original .. they work for 80,000km

CiviC comes with NGK laser Iridium Plug and their life is 100,000 KM as per manufacturer. Plus there is no need to adjust the gap

    2. Seats are slightly hard but not much in my opinion. I figured that can be somewhat overcome with having leatherette stitched covers.

    3. Steering pretty hard, specially at very slow speeds, but bearable. I think after 3000km I'll get power steering oil flushed and put in some good quality oil as a first step

But despite the new Corolla's soft closing doors, comfy seats, EPS, I think I have not sacrificed anything. No regrets.
Have you checked the speed sensor? If it is disconnected or faulty, steering will remain hard.

Civic 2006 to 2012 has hps hydraulic power steering which will be harder than eps and also it has advantage of having feedback at high speeds which in turn create confidence of control. There is nothing wrong its normal

That is axactly why I asked if the sensor was checked. If it is faulty then the steering will become harder than it is supposed to be at low speeds.

What you should do is a full reset of your ecu. Unplug the battery for 20 minutes. Plug it back in, press the brake pedal 10 times fast (with the car at off). Start the car, let it idle for 5 minutes, turn it off, turn it back on. This will reset the ecu and your car will relearn its fuel map from scratch.

The only warning I can give is be careful of any antitheft code your deck may have. I think the newer oriels might be equipped with an antitheft code which would get triggered by the above method. Ask your dealership if the car has such a code before doing this first.
Does this procedure really work for 8th gen ?

Brothers , Got a Civic 2013, brand new. Awesome car till I start hearing chirping noise from passenger side probably beween left piller garnish and dash. It is quiet loud specially when I ramp it up to porch and left side moves slightly up on uneven surface. Also its there on bumpy road. Shown it to Honda Gateway Lahore, They have dis-mental the shock absorber , grease it and replace it. Noise haven't gone.

I have read the post on same problem in 08 model, that its from dashboard due to absence or looseness of bolts of dashboard, but came to know from Service Manager that new model is not having any bolts in it and is assembled with clips.

Does anyone got this problem fixed , guide please.
    I'd rather be in Concordia!

17 inch on civic is no issue at all, apart from negligible loss in mileage and acceleration but that's I think a fair trade for the looks and grip one can get ..
