Default Honda Civic 05 ES1 Build Thread by rohaansaeed.

    Hello everyone

So after almost five and a half years at Pakwheels, I finally thought of making a Build Thread of my 2005 Honda Civic VTi M/T.

Starting off with a little introduction, this car has been with me since the very first day, we're the first owners. In around 7 years it's done roughly around 20,000km.

oh and I'll go with this build slowly, don't want to rush things and just dump all the money and rice the car up, I'll discuss the mods that have already been done and that are still pending.

In the meantime, suggestions, feedback and advice will be appreciated

Will be putting up detailed pictures gradually, keep following

    Enjoy

    Index:
    - Page 1 -- Interior/Engine Bay
    - Page 2 -- Audio System - Pictures and Video uploaded
    - Page 3 -- Suspension
    - Page 5 -- Pivot Volt MegaRaizin
    - Page 6 -- Exterior Pictures
    - Page 6 -- Engine Mod Teasers
    - Page 8 -- Cabin Filter DIY <--- Disappointing !
    - Page 9 -- Simota Cold Air Intake Added
    - Page 10 -- USDM Coupe Grill Installation
    - Page 14 -- K-PRO III

Update: Still not getting time for a proper shoot -.-

Note: Off-topic posts or arguments are not allowed here. Negative posts targeted towards fellow members will also be reported immediately.

Haha this is it for now, K-pro was the last addition to this car, gathering up parts for the next project in the meantime
    Good luck.

So you installed this ECU in your beauty ? any test runs ? anything you'd want to share with fellow 7th gen owners ?

also, elaborate what you were thinking when you bought this ECU ? i mean its a weird question but still ... just want to know the factors/motives involved ...

Is it that by any chance you're going for a SWAP? of K20 or even a K24?
    Haha that's no problem.

Nope, the car just completed 21,000km this week so I don't think a swap will be a good idea at this moment, remember, this is my father's car and not my personal car.
The car I'm starting work on is my very own personal car

Yeah it's installed, a very significant performance gain I must say.

Well the main factor that lead me to make this decision was that the upgrades I did previously were pretty much useless with the stock ECU. Then a good friend of mine sold his car in uk and had a spare ECU lying with him, sent that donor ecu to Hondata as I couldn't have gotten my hands on a better deal.

and well, the wonders a K-pro can do puts the stock ecu to shame

looking forward to your personal project, hope that it will be a 'no holds barred' one

i've heard from people what wonders any chipped ECU can do to this beauty, let alone an ECU from hondata

i am still not able to ask what exactly i want to ask, but, since the car isn't even stage 1 i guess, what performance gain are we talking about actually ? if you'd be kind enough to describe that feeling you get in words when you touch the gas pedal

also, had it been an automatic transmission, things would have been interesting after this ECU, with all the perfect shifts and stuff ...

This car isn't even Stage 1? Haha I think you missed this post sir:

    Valvetrain Upgrades

This ECU isn't compatible with Auto transmissions, and it's really a waste to invest in a car with Automatic Transmission, you never have full control over the vehicle itself.

my bad shehzaday, i forgot this post, but i have seen this post and literally had fallen in love with this camshaft back then. not to mention i was truly madly deeply () in love with the cam when i read your post that the fuel consumption has improved (you were getting 13/liter i guess)

i take my words back, now, coming back to the question, can you describe that feeling in words for the 7th gen owners

regarding your stance on auto trannies, i'd differ. but well, leave it to some other day

    hondata produces k-pro.
    greddy produces e manage ultimate.

even though they perform the same function.
but for some ppl...brand matters alot.
thats percisely why i said, if u got a honda, go for hondata.
otherwise emanage ultimate is not just for honda.

for some ppl, there are other things which matter alot.
and i think rohan got that right and did understand what i was implying.

simple thing, why buy a universal shift knob for ure honda when u can buy a mugen one for ure honda? both do the same thing u know

Haha yes I do understand. Oh and I always stick to the stock Gear Knob, they're grippy, underrated and cheaper

Yeah brand matters to me but when it comes to utility I can sacrifice a good brand, but here it was a different scenario, I got a brilliant deal on this ecu so couldn't have said No
