i was getting my 660cc JDM serviced the other day (https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/mem...13#post4296916) , and saw a new mercedes c class come in.. it had a weak battery and needed replacement, it took the mechanic two hours to find a genuine Hankook battery- and while they were putting it back into the engine they realised that it was a few centimeters bigger than the actual battery. they then went on a search for another battery. i got my car fully tuned and serviced and when i was leaving, the merc was still parked there

i asked the driver why he didn't go to an official Mercedes dealership and his replied that the shahnawaz servicing and tuning is extremely expensive. his "sahab" wanted to buy a new civic but found it too "low quality, etc" for his liking and decided to buy a German luxury car which was a few lacs more expensive and then expected it to get tuned for the same amount as a civic.

i am telling you guys this because i am still satisfied with my fathers purchase. I can't afford to roam about the whole of lahore looking for a simple battery (and ensuring the electronics are re routed to another battery when the actual battery is diconnected.. ) which costs 20-30,000. i am sure it costs twice as much as at shahnawaz.

    LOL^.
For a person owning an expensive luxury car and that too " jerman" you need to take it to proper mechanics or learn about your car before getting it.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Yes. This is a major issue nowadays. Ten years ago, the prices of the pkdm family sedans were less than a third in the price of German cars so people never bothered. Now that the civics price is 27 lacs, people see many 'better' alternatives. Which is why many privately owned Mercedes are up for sale a few months after buying them. They need proper pampering and are not a Honda or Toyota than can be tuned for less than 10,000.. And shahnawaz doesn't bother reducing its charges either and despite the low cost of labour in pakistan, they charge as much as international Mercedes dealers. And it's not like they pay their mechanics at international rates.. They keep the profits in their pockets. *sigh*

Talking about the profit thingy, Sadly, that is the truth.
Got bumper replaced 3 days ago, they charged 3500 Labour(Painting and fitting bumper) Poor worker doesn't get 1 rupee from that. Only a monthly wage. They treat workers like donkeys, work, work, work and get a bit of grass at the end of the day.

I wonder, we should all complain tbh. Reason- both the workers wanted 100 rupees each " Dekho, main ne dil laga ke kaam kiya hay aapka, kuch to banta hay, bas site manager ko nahin batana"...

A big showroom like Suzuki 3S don't even have proper facility for workers to have their lunch or even make tea! They use the welding gas to make the tea LOL.

And, Civic is much better in terms of reliability etc. Not if you import your own luxury car and you know all the ins and outs of it!
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

hence econ has a BUTTON. Which you can turn OFF when not required. So turn it OFF instead of cursing it here on the forums

Use Econ mode in City and turn off Econ mode while driving on a long route

Don't do that. Take your car to a tracking world office. Because they might have new updates as well.
Just search for tracking world in your navigation system and will guide you. It won't take more than ten minutes for the update /file transfer

The econ mode is more of a gimmick. Like stop start. Yes it saves fuel (by less than 10% thanks to us flooring our powerful cars regularly) but it's more annoying than anything. I'm glad the civic doesn't have a stop start feature- just imagine it being in built and you can't turn it off... And you're in a traffic jam in the 50 degrees afternoon heat after coming from a hectic day at work.. The air conditioning becomes ineffective after every two minutes.
So just switch off the econ button and keep it off. And be glad that's the only 'economical gimmick' in this car.

It's like the high tech features on a Samsung s4.they look good on paper, but soon you get annoyed with the eye reading feature, etc and just turn it off and never bother about it again.

I don't think the standard cd player has blue tooth connectivity. However there may be connecting wires in the glove box for auxiliary input and apple support- not sure though.
The best option for you is to buy a wireless blue tooth speaker device you can connect to the cigarette lighter. They work flawlessly and you could also connect it to your cd players auxiliary input so that you can hear the call on the cars speakers.
