Mohsin this is becoming not so much a rally as its becoming a race against time. I realize that you're probably splitting hairs right now getting your cars ready but my advice to you would be to take only what is able to come and survive the journey. Don't take any unnecessary risks and do rush jobs. This rally should be an enjoyable experience and not nail biting uncertainty.
As I have decided that I want my car trucked to Lahore, I want to be there before the truck arrives so that I can supervise the unloading, hence I would need to fly to Lahore either the day before or on the same day, which would be one day before the rest of you arrive by road, hopefully on time. There are only 2 days left before the cars are to leave Karachi i.e. Wed and hence I need confirmation as to when exactly they will reach Lahore, what time and where. I will also need a place to stay in Lahore before you people arrive as I don't quite fancy the prospect of camping out at the truck stand. Lastly, at least 2 of our own people will need to accompany the trucked cars. I'm trying to persuade my guy that there will be someone known to us alongwith him on the truck in order to alleviate his fears of being raped by a horny truck driver.
So basically the following needs to be confirmed to me within the next 48 hours:
The day the trucked cars leave Karachi, time and place.
The day they arrive in Lahore, time and place.
The day and time you will arrive in Lahore and where.
Where I will be staying from the time I land there till you arrive.
Whether anyone will be accompanying the trucked cars to Lahore.
Based on the above, I will be able to book my ticket to Lahore. I don't want to leave everything to the last minute. It all looks very uncertain to me right now.
