    Default Rear view Camera

The rear view camera was purchased from HyperStar Lahore. This is an excellent camera with infra-red. It provides excellent view even in total darkness.

    Default Cigarette Lighter Socket

Laadli has two of these cigarette lighter sockets. One inside the cabin, and the other one in the trunk. They take care of various chargers and accessories. Not available in Islamabad. I bought them from an online shop in Karachi.

The socket in the trunk powers the emergency light and fridge. Sorry fridge was not in the car today. It is an 18 litre unit with cooling and heating modes. InshaAllah, I will show it next time.

Thank you Sir for your kind words

It is actually "Cutie Sixy Sixy" ...

My approach towards Laadli is resulting in a lot of feedback from friends on PakWheels and Facebook.

It does not matter which car you have ... just give her a name, and treat her nicely .. you will find yourself in a very pleasant relationship

So when are we going to hear the name of your car?

Default WiFi in the car ...

Pakistani cellular companies do not offer 3G services, so it would be necessary to create a WiFi hotspot in the car. Wateen provides good service, but their coverage is limited. So I am planning to go for EVO WiFi Cloud Welcome to PTCL

It can provide access to up to five devices.

Default About the Soundmancaraudio IPAD installation ...

Soundman Car Audio achieved excellent results with their IPAD installation. However, their installation videos are about Toyota Tacoma, which has a wider dashboard.

The IPAD cannot fit the Corolla dashboard in landscape. If we install it vertically, then it will block the air vents.

I have written to SoundManCarAudio for their suggestion on IPAD installation in Toyota Corolla. Waiting for their reply

Default Another option for IPAD Installation

I found this installation by Scosche on YouTube:

This kind of installation would take care of the space requirements in Toyota Corolla dashboard.

The IPAD would require broadband access to the net. Plus I will need broadband wifi for my phones and laptop

I could not find the Scosche kit on their website. I emailed them and got the following reply

The ipad mounting kits are still in the development stages and will not be released for a little while longer. We are also running into some issues with mounting something that could be so distracting to your dash board. Similar to how an in-dash DVD player is not suppose to be able to play DVD’s while the car is in drive, the ipad is just as dangerous with the ability to play movies, internet and games. So we are trying to work out a way to allow it to only use things like music and maps while the car is moving. We do not want to release something that is not 100% safe for our customers and we are trying to find a solution to fix this problem but have not come up with anything yet. As soon as we get any more information about a release date, price, or final product we will post it on our site.

I am quite impressed with the way you treat you car. A couple of suggestions are

1)Get rid of the Chinese HU and get a Pioneer 4250DVD which looks much better and richer
2)Get rid of the big camera and get a small profile one, just like the one which comes in Civic nowadays. Cost is same i.e. around 3000
3)Stock grill looks much better but then its your own personal choice
4)Get some good branded car care products e.g. Mothers 7 Meguiars waxes

Incidentally, I also have a silver GLI with almost a similar number (666) so maybe when you are in lahore we can have a penta 6 gtg....lol

I have been looking for a customer for my present headunit. Pioneer 4250DVD is indeed a good choice (also suggested by my worthy advisor friend Madhouse12). However, I want to move one step ahead and go for an IPAD which would not only cover the entertainment part, but also OBD to monitor the car systems. If I cannot find an IPAD solution, then I will try 4250DVD. Now, I am so addicted to GPS that I will then have to go for a Garmin unit as well. IPAD would provide a comprehensive solution to all of my wishes.

At the time of camera installation, I first bought a small one from Upgrade at Qaddafi Stadium. However, the installer at HyperStar showed me the present camera, and it was much better than the three others that were available.

Thanks for your suggestions about Mother's .. InshaAllah, I will get them
