Exclamation Xli 2012 missing at 1.2k to 2k RPM

My Xli is giving me strange issue

it is missing from 1.2k to 2k RMP when accelerating an no issue on any other RMP. there was no issue earlier it has done 38K at odo meter

oil changed at 33k that is Liqui moly with Mos2 i am using from the 1st oil change and using it for 8K where as it can give easily 10k as per company recommendations. air and oil filter was also changed at same mielage whereas issue started at 37.5K.

there is no issue with the fuel as issue started when ~half tank was consumed. what i did is changed oil and air filter but problem remained same. point to be noted that i have changed spark plugs at 33K with iridium ones from Toyota and getting exceptionally good mileage since then.

anyone having any idea what could be the issue or face similar nature of problem with Toyota?

now i am planning to change fuel filter and don't want to go to toyota ppl as they just started changing things, if problem resolved they will praise them delve else they will start chaining some other things etc of may be saying that this is normal and not an issue.

car is still in warranty so your comments who have experienced similar nature of problem will be helpful for me.

    thanks

Lol till now i believe check everything haha.

Well throttle body plugs and fuel filter... then use injector cleaner and mix a bit of high octane when you top up the tank.

Atleast fill in 2000 or 3000 worth of fuel dont drive it much when reserve is on.

Rest everything is pretty much okay.

lol yes checked eve thing. Topped with Hioctane already. It is only missing at specific RMP only e.g 1.4k , 1.8k but smooth in between at 1.6k
To me as stated by a friend earlier it seems choking and I agree but why only on some specific RMP that I am not able to understand.

Yeah, the only way to get to the root of this problem is by the method of elimination.

Or try your luck at a dealership, tell them to scan and see if any particular sensor is messing up, though it is very unlikely that they would be able to pin point anything given their possession of immense knowledge

Got the fuel filter changed, toped up with high octane / my mechanic is of the view it is leakage of current from any coil where as it's so minor and not easily detachable.

My car is under warranty so I have to go to dealership now and let's see what will happens with me

Nothing happens, still issue is there

That may be the MAP sensor I am very much annoyed with the missing as someone sitting next to me may not feel it but as I am using it from the day 1 I am feeling terrible.

Now only solution is to go to Toyota and check with the sensors which is possible during weekdays only

Had plugs changed, throttle body services. Coils checked. Everything was fine but still having issue there is missing while driving where is RMP is stable at static. MAP sensor has been checked as well.

Now only thing remained is valves but please let me know for my knowledge if there is an issue with valves there should have missing at all RMP where as it is on specific.

Toyota said get the tracker checked.

Corolla's accelator is placed on a sensor. I had same problem. And got it chcked from toyota. They replaced the sensor. Said that it got carbon. Luckily i had warranty so got it for free. Now after two years, i have same problem. They say that sensor will be changed again. It will cost about 10k for me.
Your car is inder warranty. Go to toyoyta delearship. Ask them to check you engine through electronic scanner. There must be a fault in accelator sensor.

This specific missing on idle thing, is it only notable when stationary or also when driving as well?

i had it scanned from Toyota, all the sensors were working fine. then i changed plugs to the orignal ones from irridium but problem remained there.

then i parked my car for 3 days, and after that there same problem reduced. there is no missing but i don't feel the smoothness in the car. may be that is because of new plugs. but i will observe it next few days and share my observations

    1. Check for Leak Spark Plug wires/ Coils
    2. Check for bad Injector
    3. It could be your Idle Control Valve.
    4. Do you have any check lights?

it seems leaking or clogged fuel injectors are culprit.

No check engine light, if this is due to injector there will be missing on idle as well and even on other RPM's as well
