Quick D.I.Y. Installing Cover on New Corolla's ECU

Hope all of you are doing well. Today I went to toyota motors for First Free Repair on completing 1k on odo with my gli 2010. There the tech guy adviced me to install some cover (aval in market) on the ECU to prevent accidentall spilling of some liquid over it (accidental because all of us know that no one will throw water or some liquid over it by will).

So guys Searched market n found an ecu cover for PKR 300 and installed it over ECU.(pics attached)

Comment welcomed on this quick DIY project :D.
I ll advice all new corolla owners or owners of those vehicles with exposed ECU in the Hood to get it ASP.
The local Shopkeepers know this with the name "COMPUTER COVER" and the ecu already got a slot to get the cover bolted over it.

I have one question though. Will it cause any problems with respect to heating up of the ECU? (since it will have no ventilation)

I asked the same query to the guy there at toyota n his reply was negative. According to him nothing such gona happen, infact the cover will also protect the ECU from the engine heat inside the hood.

it amazes me so much that how cheap these car companies think, if this cover was necessary in the car it should have provided by the Toyota by default. If we consider that if Toyota makes this piece of little plastic it wouldn't had cost it more than a RS 20 per piece.

No doubt you have searched a thing which is mostly needed in New Corolla due to its "Open Mind" CPU which is vulnerable to water and dust and heat too. I really appreciate your effort. The new CPU costs about 90K and Toyota is very happy to place the CPU inside engine bay to get more and more profit from poor customers.

Please tell me the exact name and place of shop from where you got this.

Yes obviously, this cover can fit into any variant of new corolla, as all have same engine with ECU kissing engine.
