Hi Friend
I have rebuilt two of these , is that a 1303s? McPherson strut VW? from a Glance it looks like it, anyway, not sure of the prices where you are, but wings are real cheap in the UK, and so are many VW parts so it may be cheaper to import stuff? , Look on the net?
it all depends on the level of Restoration your looking for? The least i would do is remove the bumpers, the wings, and wheels, refurbish the brakes and weld around the battery box, as it will be rusty as heck, maybe replace the battery with a sealed unit, so your work doesn't get undone in the future.
The interior should be cheep to do out there, just recover in what suits you and the environment out there, As for the Lights, Stick to the original VW units, just upgrade the bulbs to higher spec, do not try Xenon, they do not work in the WV Reflectors,as they need Projector lamps not reflectors, I think the Jumbo Rear lights look cool but if you want the older VW lights remember that when you order your rear wings and go for the older spec..
Engine dress up kits are cheep too , Now Momo do great wooden wheels for the Beetle, if you can't live with the original, the wheel Boss is sold separate so you may get a second hand wheel cheep on eBay and a new boss from Momo?
good luck
