I took a shot at the cabin filter today and i thought i'd share the info with you guys since alot of Vitz's didn't come with owners manuals. (sorry about the low resolution and poor quality of the pics but they were taken by my phone in night mode)
Open the glove box normally
Push the sides in to release the tabs holding the golve box in its open position.
Once the tabs are released pull the golve box towards you to release the hooks holding the base of the glove box to the dashboard
When the glove box is free from the dash you'll find (in some models) a string attached to the glove box. Push the black part down and release it from the glove box as well.
Look into the cavity left by the glovebox and you'll see the fan housing for the aircon & heater.
The top part of the housing contains the filter, simply pull it out and you'll have the filter (with frame) in your hands
Tis is what the filter (with frame) will look like.
You can either simply vaccum the filter if it is somewhat clean (as was my case) or simply replace it with a new one if yours is too dirty.
To refit follow the instructions in reverse order.
