Totally depends upon your choice.
Some people really like to keep the old cars but highly equipped with new powerful engines, strong tires, paint with beautiful colors, etc. (English Movie: John Wick). lol
Some people love to keep the old models and just maintain them in their original shapes.
Etc.

So if you gonna restore it, then certainly it will cost a lot. But on the other side, it can be your ideal car too (after restoration) and will catch many eyes on road.

in Karachi for this 1974 120Y - 4 doors, trunk, hood are available for PKRs. 18000 .. front grill cost is 2200. Both rear lights from scrap yard are 3000
. for wheels tyres, engine rebuild rust patch work & painting. do the maths to your choice & standard of work- cheers !

Btw i think someone modified its rear lights like ford elanors

i suggest 1st check for the legal papers of ownership cross check the road taxes due, afterwards you open up the car all 4 doors, open trunk, lift the hood, check the dash board, floor & wheel arches before making a choice to buy this vehicle.

if papers are in order, 100% Stock restoration of this vehicle is piece of cake.

Datsun 120Y [ B210 ] was imported into Pakistan by Gandhara Motors and sold under political quota at Rs. 30,000. Model Imported was 1200 cc Carb engine with 3 speed steering shift & 4 speed floor shift transmission. Later in 1977 the same model was imported under reconditioned car scheme with 1400 cc engines with 2 band radio, blower + heater & rear screen defogger. Some 4 door & 2 door UK models landed with 5 speed transmission.

almost 99% of such sedan vehicles were converted to commerical metered Yellow & Black Taxi services in Pakistan
