The Besturn B50 sedan is the second model of FAW's Besturn brand after the Besturn B70 sedan. Also called as the "B50 King", the car measures 4600*1785*1435mm and is based on a Mazda 6 platform with a modified chasis, equipped with a 1.6l gasoline SOHC engine with peak power of 76/6000 (kW/rpm) and is available with manual and automatic transmission options. The fuel consumption of Besturn B50 is only 6.0 liters at uniform speed in 90 km driving road. The emission standards meeting Euro IV standards.

The B50 boasts features such as Front Driver, Passenger & Side Airbags, Electronic Anti-theft Engine, Central Locking & Keyless Entry, ABS with EBD, Sunroof, Multi-function Leather Steering Wheel with Tilt Adjustments, Cruise Control, Parking Assistance, Traffic Computer Screen, Electrically Adjustable Seats with Height & Lumbar Adjustments, Rear Reclining Seats, CD/ MP3 Player, 6 Speakers, Automatic Airconditioning with Pollen Filter, Front Fog lamps etc

Price starts from 98800 CNY (12.0 lac PKR) to 125800 CNY (15.3 lac PKR)

A hybrid version of the Besturn B50 is expected to be available. Since FAW in China manufactures the Prius on behalf of Toyota, surely a hybrid engine will be a natural next step for FAW Group..

I have to ask one question here, every day they come up with a new car by some new company, are these feature-packed cars Reliable ? specially their indegenous products which havent passed the test of time.
The point is they cannot make reliable cars with No or 5 - 10 years experience in their pockets, or can they ? Mercedes, Toyota, Honda etc. didnt make their first products like the ones we see today.
They will catch up but it may take some time, a few more years and their cars wont be breaking parts that often.

these FAWs are based on proven Mazda 6 platform and both B70 & B50 have positive reviews hence selling in handsome numbers.. perhaps Mercs & Toyotas started from scratch, but most of the Chinese brands have some great help from their JV partners hence the progress is relatively fast.

also these cars dont launch every other day, its just that they have started to appear on PW every other day most of the cars posted at PW have already seen more than 3 years of their lives..

edit: the B70 also boasts a 4 star crash test score and is considered among the most popular Chinese cars out there..
