Just because they are chinese doesn't mean they have to be copies. its such a knee jerk response now a days. these cars look awesome and if they drive even half as good as they look American manufaturers would be packing thir bags very soon.
Made in China=Copy, Copy, Copy
China has no regard for intellectual property, what so ever. Their whole economy is based on producing substandard copies of successful products and then dumping them in developing countries. People in those markets have considerably less disposable income and Chinese companies know this and fully exploit the situation. Their main objective is price and profit not safety.
Let’s talk about another one of your factually flawed claim; Chinese automakers have not entered the US market because of safety requirements mandated by the government. Chinese will lose the only advantage they have over their competition, the price, if they are forced to implement all required safety features that other automakers comply with to sell their products in North America. By the way, do you know the most successful brand in China? I will save you the trouble of Googling it; it is Buick. Yes, an American brand. Do you know why? Because people don’t get treated as unwilling crash dummies in case of a crash.
