A thing of beauty is a joy forever, first 4x4 finally
My friends
This 4x4 is not new for many of you guys as it belonged to reputed Pakwheeler @noman8ff. Its not only my first 4x4 but its my dream vehicle too. It put me in envy when @noman8ff first introduced this vehicle of him on Pakwheels more than an year ago. I am following every post and update about this vehicle from that day. Please check.

It took me more than 4 years to have my first 4x4 finally by the grace of God. In fact I am frequent traveler to North (All the Karakoram, Himaliya and Hindukash lie in Pakistan) and I am crazy about mountains. It was summer 2012 when during my trip to Upper Neelum Valley on bike I realized that I have to have a 4x4 and started dreaming about it. It took a long to manage some other domestic priorities before I go for a Jeep. For the whole four years I kept reading about 4x4 world and collecting pics and watching ads on OLX and Pakwheels and visiting local market in Lahore in spite of having no resource to get one. Avain fzool ki window shopping.
Specially during the last one year I was badly obsessed and it really got on my nerves. Jeepless life it was. I needed it mainly for my family trips to northern areas.
I started from exploring CJs, then considered Rocky and then stayed on FJ40 for a long but as I needed an easy to maintain compact 4x4 for my small family (me, wife and two kids) its Zuks who attracted me most specially the old softtop jimnys for their compact beautiful looks too.
These are get-able, maintainable, affordable capable and enjoyable.
I know I am putting too much unnecessary details and testing the temperament of your guys but its my day and I am speaking with my heart in joy, so bear with me dear fellow Pakwheelers.
Here I must say that contribution by @noman8ff on Pakwheels forums guided me a lot in this regard. I followed and closely read threads and posts by him and they indeed are of great help.
As many of you guys know this vehicle belonged to a perfectionist, and while checking the specs and pics you will see the glimpse of his legendary skills, effort and dedication
Its 1987 Jimny, Details as follows.

5 Speed gear
Power steering
Vaccum power survo brakes
Front discs
Original jimny 5 lug alloy rims
Brand new tubeless tires
Thermostat valve installed
Radiator fan still working on clutch
Adjustable gas shocks in front
Chilling AC (Chilling AC is kind of phrase today, but its AC is indeed chilling)
Heater
Very clean chassis, excellent condition
Surprisingly neat and clean body, no rust at all anywhere, hard to believe that its 30 years old vehicle.
Accessories and others
Sports front and rear bumpers
Imported LED bar on front bumper
PIAA spot beams for highway driving
Heavy duty sound system with amplifier and KENWOOD speakers
double floor carpet for better cooling and heating
double "namda" under the dash board for better cooling and heating
Custom made solid roof rack
So easily detachable sof-top, just a matter of hooking, unhooking. Me and my cousin removed it in less than 60 seconds.
Long and fold-able imported rear seat which can easily accommodate 3 adults, rear seat too is so easily detachable, just two screws and that?s it. No tool is required, these are hand driven screws.
Soft-top hood is built very carefully, measurements and alignments are perfect. When you put it on, vehicle is fully air tight and water proof. Built with insulation and inner lining. Drove for more than an hour in heavy rain in Lahore and not a single drop of water could get in the vehicle.
Satisfaction is small word, so happy with everything. Will keep it for years inshaAllah. Can not maintain it upto the standards set by @noman8ff but I would try to justice with effort and time he spent.
