@UK
I think this qualifying session has highlighted what I have pointed out previously just look at the timing difference between Q1 and Q3 they have gone faster in Q3 then in Q1 which was not the case at Bahrain. Traffic is the main cause of this and thatswhy I said on street circuits we will see this as a huge problem and applying 107% rule will be unjustified w.r.t polesitter. Also the track's pole lap record for Albert Park circuit is broken by Vettel by 0.5 secs difference. Previous pole lap record set by Michal in 2004 was 1:24.408 and the new record is 1:23.919 which is 0.489 secs faster then the previous record. And this also proves the ability of mechanical grip that a car with a 18K RPM V8 beats the time of a 20K RPM V10 and FIA's desire of slowing the cars down in corners is also gone in the dust off because mechanical grip has increase the corner speeds. On a sidenote the Vettel's lap time is 0.2 secs faster then the race lap record of 2004 too which was also been posted by Michal.
