Ugly cars unfortunately. Very hard for a European brand like Renault to be successful here. Now VW would have been a different ballgame.

Aoa bro Pulse is a new nissan micra/march in europe and Duster is not original brand of Renault it is Romanian car brand merge with Renault cheapest SUV all over Europe and not that much reliable as it seems to be
Other 2 are real Renault branded cars much more reliable, durable and trust worthy

    Cool

    @fazalwahab11375

you do plenty of efforts, though the information slightly irrelevant to [ Asean ] specific to Pakistan. you are very well aware about absence of vehicle safety & testing authority in our country. Plenty of features which are mandatory for a vehicle to be on road are 'absent' in locally assembled cars &yet vehicle are priced at premium feature loaded vehicles as in rest of Non Asian countries

The north american & european variants will not be landing /assembled in PK by Renault - Datsun. It will be purely ASEAN style Mid size sedan & 5 door Hatch, wait n see for DATSUN appearing over Renault in Asia by 2018

The Plant taken over & under expansion by Renault at BIN QASIM Karachi is owned by their local partners - Gandhara Nissan Group [General Tyres] so keep fingers crossed it will be policy decision as to what brand logo goes over their vehicles.

CBU units will be on sale mid 2018 onwards while the CKD assembled will see the local market towards 1st quarter of 2019.

Volkswagen Group has taken 2 steps back due to political pressure for plant set up in Punjab while they are hell bent to utilize the industrial facility of BWM Group - Dewan [ KIA & Hyundai ] again at Bin Qasim Industrial area in Karachi.

I honestly don't see the point of this thread. Not to crib the efforts made by the poster but we need to remember we live in a country where Suzuki upped the cc's of their Swift engines so that the government could extract extra money from regular buyers. This practice is not seen in the Indian market as yet. Maybe PakSuzuki struck a deal with the government so both could benefit but they clearly don't give a damn about the public and why should they? When we as a community don't demand to be treated fairly.... why would anyone bother to do that?

Like the poster above me has said, having SRS Airbags in cars must be MANDATORY at the very least and no car should be allowed on the road without them.

We do not know yet that Renault will not follow the same business model of selling us engine variants with slightly more cc's just so that our government can make a few bucks and how their after sales service will be.

Don't misunderstand me. Hoping that the buyers will be treated properly is always a given however given the current track record of any company that has come to Pakistan and started selling cars... the reality seems quite the opposite.

India currently offers more variants of cars of any company if you simply compare it with Pakistan.
Whereas in a few cases some companies here haven't even bothered to change the shape/model for decades.
The classic Mehran is a prime example of this.

Simply comparing the cars Renault offers in India and going from there is impractical in my opinion.

The purpose of the thread is based on news items appearing for the re-establishments of the Renault brand-Nissan. [ http://www.dawn.com/news/1294137/ren...rs-in-pakistan ]

Nissan already testing Go and GO Plus..
    https://www.pakwheels.com/blog/nissa...ting-pakistan/

I know we will not get what Renault offers in India or in Europe as far as models line up, and other features, that is why I selected only few of the models which we can see possibly. In-fact even in India Renault is offering their very base line models comparing what they offer in Europe.

overall , a fine car company. Their alliance with Nissan has definitely helped .

their cars are solid and every day workhorses. The clio especially if we can get that here . Its the mehran of france

french / euro surveys rank Peugeot and Citroen higher though

Dacia Sandero is the most suitable option for Renault to introduce in Pakistan.
Drove it for 3 months and what a work-beast this hatch is.
Duster will also sell like hot cake in Pakistan if offered at 1.8-2 million PKR.
PS: Dacia is subsidiary of Renault.

Drove Nissan Sunny 1.8 Local Assembled, vehicle is solid but its parts are too much expansive and not available. Repairing this vehicle is almost impossible - may be Nissan is serious this time ..
