Post Which wax do you use for shining?

Lets talk about the quality wax. Which one you use for your bike and how do you rate it.

I have always used Formula 1 on fuel tank, side covers, and mudguards and it works good.

Two days ago I bought Maxi Car Wash. Maybe it is not for the bike since the name suggests so, but I am not sure if it will be harmful to the bike or what. Has anyone used it on his car? It comes in plastic bottle in yellow liquid form. According to the shopkeeper, this is better for a shiny surface and easy to use. Instead of applying it after car wash, as done in case of Formula 1 wax, we have to use this while washing the car...put some of the Maxi liquid in the water bucket and dip the cloth in it to apply on the car body.

The engine need not be waxed, leave it like that. The engine needs internal protection more, be careful about that.

first rearding wax @7thgear has given u excellant answer,, but as u r new biker so would write the following text for u,,

for engine lubrication rely on caltex havoline ,, and do a regular oil change ate 1000-1200 km interval,, don't go too earlier some mechanics say do it at 800,, and they virtually preach it ,,as if it was a religious duty,, but u know that they sell the used oil ,, and if it is good they get more,, i have seen them wheel and deal with their used engine oil buyers,,, they practise it ,, they sort it into different cans and get different rates for different cans,, i have seen it my self,,

coming too the point if u look at the manual it recommends oil change after 2000 km ,, that's pretty much an overkill,,

my advice would be to do it between 1000-1200,, if u cant no problem but never cross 1500 km on it,,

@Ahsan Bhai,Good point u raised.I also saw mechanics doing this.So 1000km to 1200km is perfect for oil change.& some mechanic change oil free for the the sake of your changed oil.
    Regarding shampoo,it works like polish.

I use "Cosmic" wax and "Brilliant" car and motorcycle shampoo..

I have found cosmic to be superior to formula one.. formula one is very messy! Its yellow color is too bad, were as cosmic is colorless when applied and is easy to apply and clean. formula one usually remains stuck in thin lines btw body parts where it cant be cleaned from & its visible and looks v.bad due to its yellow color!
    price:300Rs

Brilliant is a shampoo specially for vehicles, its far better than detergent, creates a lot of lather and v.easily. Cleans oil and dust easily and is cheap too! Available at Alfatah Lhr, for only Rs50 - 200Ml bottle.

i also use Luster for seat, tyres, and black plastic and metal parts... a v.gud cleaner and shiner.

im planing to buy a polish for chrome parts too

But which polish to use for indicators? Junoon has got silver colored indicators... its plastic.. which polish for it?
