yesterday, i set out on a rash driving rampage to test the ABS function of my Liana sport, i tried to find deserted place for this task and finally made my mind to carry out the test on margalla road near the last yellow blinking signal toward f-10 round about as it was quite deserted at around 4pm so, i accelerated my car to 100km/h to test the brakes when all of a sudden i found a hidden cop with speed cam and unfortunately had to turn in my driving license (challan). Pehla test to udhar ka udhar hee reh gaya...then i didn't lose hope and took the challan paper as my license to proceed with the ABS test...after 25 mins, while returning to my home via the 11th avenue portion right in front of al-huda foundation f-10 :[ , i found the whole road deserted and then i accelerated to 100km/h again and applied brakes with every force i got in my legs and started hearing loud on/off tyre skidding noise..during that i tilted my steering a little toward right to test the extent of tyre jam, all i could notice was that the car
COULDN'T
turn smoothly and started to drift to turn somewhat towards right. Then after i stopped the car completely, i parked it off the road and took out the measuring tape to measure the length of tyre marks..the tyre skidding marks were 2+ meters on average and the unskidded portion was less than a meter. To reaffirm my observations, i conducted the test again only to find the same result. To date, i have tried this test in many luxury to superluxury cars and found a quite different result...
NO SKIDDING MARKS AND V.V.V.V.V.V.V.V SMOOTH TURNING DURING THE ABS PROCESS
...the reason to post this thread is to aware others to treat their ABS enabled Liana like a non-ABS one...to standardize the result, i'm also planning to test the Liana that my friend has...I have also tested the ABS system of Civics and its of quite a superior class just like the one that luxury cars have.
It will be great if u guys post ur ABS testing results too just to aware other car owners..
