it sure is a funny way how you prooved Lianas brakes to be having a non-functional ABS, and by the way when you said you have tested Civic,s ABS and they prrooved to be of superior quality, i suggest you check a MARKII or a PRADO and then tell us what ABS is. It is so smooth and efefctive that you dont feel any vibrations on brake pedal and that crunching sounds of the brake pads doing their best to stop a car....

you can even try a VITZ and i am sure you wont like civic,s brakes afterthat

I dont think it should, but to tell you the truth I havent ever paid one so cant really predict the outcome.

We have 2 lianas in our family with abs, one is lxi and other is eminent, ive driven these cars lot many times, and have tested ABS several times in different road conditions, i.e dry road, wet road etc. ABS works perfecetly, no ON OFF SKIDDING, yes it creates sound when ABS activates like grhhh, but i repeat no ON OFF SKIDDING ETC, and car jams superbly. Ive tested ABS on Vitz, vti as well, and lianas ABS works as good as other cars, besides lianas ABS is also equipped with EBD.

i'm due to test my friend's liana tomorrow...bytheway, my findings are that if ure travelling in lower speeds, then it works somewhat better but at higher speeds, its weirdness increases logarithmically...well, its a proven fact that we cant compare vitz with a liana, theres atleast a difference of seven skies,lol

we should know that ABS systems come in various types depending on number of sensors and actuators..the entry level ABS equipment does exactly the same thing that my liana is doing ^o)....

yesterday, my liana got banged from rear left side and guess what happened.....the ABS would then turn on every time i step on brake pedal even if touched lightly...i reached a traffic signal where i discovered that if i press the brake pedal while stationed, ABS would still come on..everyone stopped at the signal started laughing at me when ever i pressed the brakes due to krrrrr sound. Then this morning, i was on kashmir highway driving at ~80km/h when all of a sudden i saw a ditch on the road..i tried to steer it away but the front right tyre rolled in and i got to hear a loud bang noise. i pulled over to the shoulder to check the alloy rim...it was all fine but hey............the ABS problem disappeared and it worked normally.

Moral: that car is freaking me out and has the ability to repair itself and/or break down on its own will and doesn't require a mechanic :S

As a resident from the UK, I have noticed that the tarmac they use on roads in Pakistan (town and city roads)have a shiny tinge / sheen to it that enables the cars to skid more before coming to a halt. Here in the UK, the roads have tarmac mixed with more of a stony/ grooved mixture, thus enabling more road grip.
