Maintaining UPS/car batteries

Hello frnds hope all of you will b fine.
I faced this a problem a couple of weaks ago bt was bizi so was not able to share.
I baught 2 ugs 175 batteries in start of ramazan and i am using 2 kw desi ups .the pic of the card is attached below.now i have the following issues.
1. In full charged condition the cells which are near terminals show almost 1220 specific gravity while the rest of all cells show almst 1200 specific gravity and in almst last 1 month the electrolyte also decreased a lil bit in 4 cells.
2.i had set the max charging current to 13 amps and during last stage of charging it is reduced to 5 amps.i set the cut off voltage to 28.8 V. Now the issue is when i set the bat low volatge to almst 21V when the batteries get full all the charging inducators leds are on.but as soon as the wadpa goes off and load is transferred to ups top 3 lights get off at once and jst 2 leds are left on i.e 20 % led and 40% led.the voltage at that time on terminals is near to 24.5V.
And at full charged condition when load is on wapda the terminal Voltage is 25.something.

This is not the problem dear,its quite normal............These LEDs indicators behaves differently while charging and discharging.......

Thanks bro, already bought AGS GX165 yesterday. Saw your post later. My UPS is APC SUA1000L I have also bought volt meter went out of budget but will by AMP meter with shunt which will cost additional 800 rupees and will update you guys with parameters. As far as I know the charging amps are 10.7 and cut off is 28 volts. Just let me know one thing.

1) For the first time to what voltage should I charge the batteries? 28, 29 or 30?

2) Also I need to know, that after filling electrolyte, I shall wait for 1 to 2 hour than put the batteries to charging and once charging is complete then I should shake the batteries a little and open the caps to let gas escape and then adjust electrolyte level with distilled water if required and then close the caps again and put them in service. Any thing I am missing?

3) Also what is this golden eye on the AGS batteries?

4) Another thing, how to check voltage on the batteries, I bought digital volt meter 0-30V, should I just connect one end to negative and one end to positive and take reading while charging is going on or should I turn the UPS off to take reading?

I feel if company says that certain series is specifically made for UPS or inverters then one should prefer that for an application. I have seen once such series from phoenix, if some other brand is making it then you are most welcome to buy that.

Problem @unstopabl3 was facing was not with the battery brand, it was solely because of UPS tuning as advised to him. His ups would switch over to 1-2 amperes of charging at 27 volts, which off course would have taken ages for battery to fully charge it?s self. We already discussed that once we have frequent load shedding?s then we want the batteries to be prepared for next cycle of load shedding.

Battery with good electrolyte is only a pre-requisite and is a first part to the entire game. Second part is the tuning of your UPS.

If any of it is bad, then putting the blame on a good factor is only a stupidity and your issue will never be resolved.

Transformer seems ok............simply replace the kit and properly tune it.........

Bro went to Hall Road, Lahore and purchased the following kit as per your recommendation from Imran Brothers store. The seller said there is no difference between IC104/IC105 and gave me this kit for 900Rs:

Is it the right kit bro, as my UPS is 24V and 1000Watts.

UPS: Inverex 5+5 single battery.
Adjustable settings:

1) 10 A and 20 A charging settings. It is set at 20 A.
2) UPS and Inverter. It is set at Inverter.

Battery: AGS GX200F, Factory charged (electrolyte factory charged too, confirmed, so i assume that the electrolyte is made with distilled water). It is only one month used.

Manufacturing date: One month before the time of purchase.

Testing done after reading the thread.

Voltage is ~230 V throughout, even at low battery charge.

Battery

Low charge buzzer beeps at ~10.75 V.
Low voltage cutoff: ~10.5 V.

Fully charged with ups connected 13.72 V. Shouldn't this be 14 V?

Fully charged but disconnected from ups, standing charge:
After 2 hours, 13.06 V

SG and electrolyte was equal among all the cells. Electrolyte reduced equally in all cells very slightly.

SG at full charge: 1250
SG and voltage after one hour use with 3 fans and 3 energy savers (15 watt each): 1150 and 11.80 V.

At 4 fans and 4 energy savers (15 watt each), the battery backup time was 2 hours from full charge till the low charge buzzer beeped.

Is this acceptable?

The cap is very slightly black, as shown.

yes dear this is right kit.....but IMRAN and CO kit is a little better than IMran brother kit.......else is ok

Dear, battery specific gravity with standard setting like battery cut 14.20V stays near to 1200, 1210, 1220. And its normal.....Only chines UPS battery have specific gravity 1250 because ups keeps trickle charging..........while this type of charging is not done by other desi ups

On my UPS, if I use the 13A charging wire, the UPS trickle charges, the last stage of charging at around 1-2A, but takes a long time to complete the charging if Wapda voltages are below 215V. But when I use the 20A charging wire, the last stage is anywhere between 5-10A and the batteries are charged in 60-90 mins. Do you think this faster charging might be causing the specific gravity to decline near to 1200-1220 on my batteries?

If your UPS kit is older (NON AMPERE) then slow charging loop which is giving 13A is better then 20A charging Loop. In latest kit you can adjust charging ampere by rotating variable.

14.30V is best.......this kit has 3 stage charging .............if u set 16A...........2nd stage will be 8A ....3rd stage will be 4....3..2 and full

This kit does not trickle charge.........it charges at 3 stages.............
