Hello. Can anyone inform where in Islamabad can one get either Pyrochem electrolyte or any other good quality?

So you are saying that Pyro Chemicals distilled water having TDS of 32ppm is not good distilled water? As I've always been using it thinking it is good based on earlier reviews on this thread.

Secondly where can I get a TDS Meter myself, when you ordered it from AliExpress how much did it cost you and how long it took to be delivered to your home?

32ppm for prochemicals is good. Nestle water available in market has a ppm of 170-190, if nothing is available then its better you buy nestle water then those red battery water bottles being sold in market.

You will have to buy tds meter from aliexpress.com for usd 4 to 6 max and one month needed for its arrival.

These are not available in my city. So wil ask someone to buy them from karachi, therefore have to ask him to buy this product, at this price and from this place.

Please tell me what should be float charge setting of MPG narada gel battery. 14.1volt is OK or should I drop it to 13.5 volt.
With 13.5 setting as soon as power failure ocur voltage drop to 12.4 but with 14.1 settings voltage of battery drop to 12.7
Which one is better and also tell me is it normal ke voltage drop by 1.2 volt immediately after power failure

Imported UPS allows you to set float Voltage, which for 12Volts setup should be set at 13.4 Volts whereas Bulk Voltage should be set at 14.4 Volts.

This is what manual for lead acid battery says and should be followed.

I've bought clamp meter for 550 rs compared to the 10,000 rs clamp meter my electrician friend has. He suggested me this. Because even though it is not accurate to the point. It is enough for me kind of person.

If the battery tester meter shows replace battery status, then battery flushing helps to improve the situation?

Battery was purchased last season, well maintained but decreasing electrolyte quickly in all cells and backup time is reduced. 2-3 fans where as previously it was 4 fans for an hour backup time.

UPS is not overcharging, as i tested it.

Will flushing help?

There is a possibility that you must have used a bad electrolyte or used bad water to top up the batteries. Red battery water available in market has an TDS value above 600 which is also very bad and even TDS results of Air-conditioning water turns out to be above 700PPM. Under this seniors, flush will be useful but before
Judge the charging rate of your UPS, cut off voltage as that will tell you a lot if flush will be useful or not. If these values are properly adjusted then flush will be useful but if cut off voltage and charging rate is below the required limits then batteries must have died of sulfation and then under that circumstance you cannot do anything.
You cannot do battery test till the time batteries are not fully charged. Secondly, batteries test tells you that batteries are bad but this is on you to decide if you can recover them or not based on an educated guess.

I wonder, TDS of electrolyte is also much greater then given limits. What if those red tonics ( i never seen them ) have actually something good for the battery??

There can be fake reds, but if someone is doing fake work, he must have got idea from some original.

anyways, what is ur take on UPS. Are homage UPS good for deep cycle battery? Any comments about APC ups.

1) What is the purpose of Main Low variable?
2) If battery electrolyte level is being reduced in batteries just slightly after a week, is that normal or an indication of a battery problem?
3) I've set cut-off voltage to 28.15V to reduce time for full charge (before it was 28.25V), how will this effect the life of the batteries? Is is better or worse to increase this cutoff voltage from life point of view.
4) I noticed that sometimes when batteries are full, the Battery Full light on my UPS turns green and stays solid but at times when it's full the green light comes on and off (blinks) every second. Is this normal or indicates some fault in UPS?

It has 1 year replacement warranty, is it a good buy??? Thre is an another company fujika but i was in doubt regarding its finishing but was with 6 months replacement warranty but again finishing was rough. Can anyone guide me which one is better these days? My old acid phoenix lasted for 3 years.

This is for your car right? I replaced my cars AGS acid battery a few months back and got the Fujika dry battery you are mentioning. So far so good and no issues. But you never know with these things until the warranty is near expiring or expired then you get to know as they usually work well till that time.

Electrolyte part is good, because the battery electrolyte was factory charged and i put original battery tonic for topping off, since i read your instructions previously and gravity check stuff etc.

So the issue seems to be more on UPS side as you mentioned, so i will check those cut-off voltage and charging rate and let you know.
