Maintaining UPS/car batteries

This is for your car right? I replaced my cars AGS acid battery a few months back and got the Fujika dry battery you are mentioning. So far so good and no issues. But you never know with these things until the warranty is near expiring or expired then you get to know as they usually work well till that time.

Thanx for the reply. Fujika batteries finishing wasent upto the mark. Alot of scuffs like as if it was repacked but daewoo seemed to hav a clean finishing and comes with 1 year replacement warranty which was good atleast to me and the guy from whom i m going to get it, will handle the warranty himself if anything goes wrong within an year while fujika had 6 months warranty but again the finishing was fishy. Stickers misalligned, roughness like it was recycled

1) What is the purpose of Main Low variable?
2) If battery electrolyte level is being reduced in batteries just slightly after a week, is that normal or an indication of a battery problem?
3) I've set cut-off voltage to 28.15V to reduce time for full charge (before it was 28.25V), how will this effect the life of the batteries? Is is better or worse to increase this cutoff voltage from life point of view.
4) I noticed that sometimes when batteries are full, the Battery Full light on my UPS turns green and stays solid but at times when it's full the green light comes on and off (blinks) every second. Is this normal or indicates some fault in UPS?

Main low variable is to adjust the lowest wapda input. Its adjustment decides, at how much low wapda voltage, ups should turn into Battery mode.........usually its kept 130V. Below 130 ups leaves wapda and runs on battery mode.

2..... Reduction of electrolyte in battery depends on many factors.......like age of battery, place of battery (hot environment). load shedding frequency...etc.............slight reduction is normal

1. 28.40 is ideal setting for battery cut off.
2. its built in function of some kits............its normal.

Please note that we have got summers in Pakistan and temperate shoots up to above 40? C. You can not keep steady charging at such temperature.
Your battery will remain under charged.

Asl. Anyone who has used Trojan 225 AH 6 volt batteries. These are flooded batteries and a set of 2 to make 12 volt system cost 42000

yes u can............its TDS value is 30 to 50 ppm......so its Good to use

Main low variable has no concern with charging.......no effect on charging...... for default setting upload clear pic of kit...i ll make u to adjust.it

Ideal battery cutt of volts are 28.40.....below this value battery will remain undercharged and above this value ,will be overcharged....

Its normal behavior of some kits.....not a fault

But my electrician brother strictly prohibited me from using AC distilled water. He said its impure. Use or buy battery water. So i bought AGS BATTERY DISTILLED WATER. 70 rs / Liter

@zeus65 get some wire. Connect +ve terminal to +ve of the meter(it may be printed on it). do same for -ve terminal. If it doesn't work, swap the connections and see

i first installed a 24volt UPS in 2008,first set of ags batteries lasted 3 years till 2011 second set also lasted 3 years till 2014 brought ohonix in 2014 and they are going strong too and its been 2 years now,what i have observed is beside maintenance batteries of higher capacity and a 24 volt ups pays you back in long term and another important thing is battery brand,AGS no doubt is good but PHOENIX is better overall since it is cheaper than AGS ,last time i paid 15k for 2 phoenix 145 batteries after giving the shop keeper my old AGS 135 they too after a period of 3 years were giving me 50 mins back up but since load shedding was on hourly basis i opted for new ones
