A good friend of mine has a 1993 B13 Nissan Sunny 1.7D which is driven 270K kms with one overhaul so far. Now the engine was showing signs of weaknes so we decided to put in a new one.
We went to Ahaata Mithu Khan in Saddar Rawalpindi to get the swap done from the shop of Mr. Asghar Khan who only deals in Nissan old engines and parts.
Beleive me this guy and his technicians are like Encyclopedias of Nissan and they also helped me when i converted my own 1988 model B12.
When we inquired about price of a CD17 assembly, it was 14K because it is no more in production anywhere and supply is short, so we thought of putting in a newer model CD20 which is 2000cc and it came in Sunny from 1995 to date.

As tempting as it was to get in a turbo version, we decided to put in NA one because my friend is not a petrol head like me and some maintenance lapses are always expected from him 
so we bought this

Price for the whole conversion including gear box, genuine Nissan mounts and gear levers etc. was 23.5K including labour charges and lubricants.
The car has become a rocket, fuel consumption is 16 in city without AC in last 2 days.
I raced a Land Cruiser (New one) and made him cry literally at Constitution avenue 
1st gear change at 45
2nd at 90
3rd at 120
4th at 155
and so on and so forth
And thats all coming from a Diesel.
Any corolla 2.0D with an attitude should not try a friendly drag with this car now
