    Lightbulb Pak Suzuki not giving seat belts in Suzuki Mehran!!!

    Hey Pakwheelers,
    AoA,
    I just wanted to say that Pak Suzuki is not giving the motor seat belts in Suzuki Mehran so people donot wear them as they say that they are just useless. Do anybody know that can we fit motor seat belts in Suzuki Mehran? Does anybody experienced? Please share here so that Suzuki Mehran owners should take a benefit for it.

    Thanks,
    Abbas Ali Abbasi

    wow! in 2004 they fit seatbelts (factory fit) and even in 2010 they don't have inertia belts.

    my 74 VW had inertia belts factory fit!!!

    @poster
    i think you could do a juggar with alto/baleno belts using the same mounting points as the static ones you have in the car right now.

    But Brother, here whenever I go to any speciality shop or any car accessories shop, they say that no motor is given by Suzuki Mehran & no other can be fit in it. So now what to do? Should I go to the scrap to find out. Anyways which motor will get installed easily..?

    Specially in Mehran the Suzuki Mortors try every means to save money. There are no mud flappers even. Without all this it would still cost you half a million.

    A proper seat belt when pulled suddenly should stop immediately and when pulled gently should come out smoothly. In case of sudden stop or collision these belts lock and hold the driver/passenger in the seat and prevent them from banging their heads on the windshield or hitting steering or seats in the case of rear passengers.

    I am angry at people not wearing seat belts especially the rear ones available except in Cowrolla XLi. Even people traveling with me when refuse to wear seat belt, I told them please wear it because I do not want them to break my windshield with their head in case of an accident. But still they don't and say that no worries you will not get a ticket for it. Damn. I constantly preaching benefits of wearing a seat belt and sometime people traveling with me do understand and pull out the belt......but still a colleague who always travel on the front seat when we are on assignments and also in the habit of sleeping during travel do not wear seat belt despite my narrating horrible experiences of people.

    Seat belts do save lives and prevent serious injuries.

    in future pak suzuki will say "put the stearing of your choice" with the tag New Mehran Stearing less, even i have seen latest Bolan(Hiroof) with front seat belts. Its safety requirement.

    I don't exactly know what is meant by auto seat belts. But my Mehran VX 2006 has front seat belts. Once they are released they do roll back. My cousin bought Mehran VX in 2003, back then they were not offering seat belts.
    Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

    the inertia rolls are installed backwards in a mehran - simple as that - you can use any sort of japanese market seat belt in it with a small roll
