Thanks. I booked Gli 1.3 MT in early January and Toyota Islamabad Motors, Aaabpara issued me PBO for the month of April, but after two weeks I changed the variant to Altis 1.6 and amazingly the delivery was moved one month earlier that is in March.

If delivery was in March then why I got my car on the last day April?

It's a long story. When March came, I started calling IMC helpline asking them "gari invoice hogai? and the usual answer was "Sir abhi naheen huee next three four days ma check kar layn."

Towards the end of March, they said that invoicing had been held because FBR had informed them that I was not a filer so I should deposit another 50,000 as WHT immediately with the dealer so that invoicing should be done. It was a strange and unexpected development as I regularly file my IT return and at the time of booking dealer checked online and my name was in active tax payers list (ATL). I approached FBR and it took almost two weeks i.e April 14 to invoice my car.

It was dispatched from Karachi on 18th April, but took 12 days to reach me. Meanwhile I had been calling dealership and they had been telling me they had not received it yet and they asked me not to waste my calls and they will inform me when the cars reaches in Islamabad. But they did not inform me and on 30th April I called and the salesman said your car arrived yesterday and I told him that nobody called me. Such things are a norm in Pakistan. Utter lack of professionalism.

I wonder why they dont provide online access to PBOs to check the status. That would also be a better way to be updated when the car is delivered to the showroom.
But congrats again do tell me on how the car responds in hilly areas.

I wanted to put american lock into steering cross, but that has been hidden now under the dash and very hard to reach. That was the best security measure.ort

I am not sure about wheel clapms, researched a bit online, but do not know which one is right and how effective it is.

The steelmate thingies are useless and can be disabled with a universal remote and jammer or by just inserting a short bulb into indicator on the fender.

steering cross is easily visible in mehran but hidden even in civic, some1 experienced locked without even seeing and told me to lie down n see from there, well those were my starting days now i lock it without even looking at it

i have this one n its pretty good, have used it when i used to park out in market n even when it was parked outside at home at night time

got it for $100 from smoke 87

for normal system they dont bother that much, they just open bonnet n remove wires n that it
as for that indicator thing, u see this is the good thing about this system, ur remote will start vibrating when they'll try to remove the indicator light

also u can go for the system offered by rwp traffic where u need to bring an elctronic chip card near to the dash to start the car, all these measures slow down thieves so they go for the car which has nothing n is most easy to take away in no time n will leave the hassle of going through all the pain of removing all the locks

No hill drive yet but it does climb well on steep roads.

I used lock in steering cross in my previous Corolla and easily use in Mehran. Started using it on Khyber.

That clamp thingy is not available in Islamabad or is it available?

Your remote will not respond when they will use a jammer or disarm your car with their own remote. Plus I do not want to cut my cars wires for steelmate type remote and chooon chooons.

I checked the steering cross and it's covered in dash so no chance to put a lock there, but will try again.

I will post a write up in detail with the technique and products I used. Although a new car, surface was extremely rough (due to overspray) and reflections were dull.

One more thing I'd like to add is that Honda didn't even bother to launch the 9th Gen civic in India. That's cuz they already knew it would fail badly because of its looks. India is a tough marker with lots of competition. Corolla sales though are very good

And i'd like to add one thing that Honda is launching City in America.

i have asked for xtreme vision hb3 and h11 for high and low beam.

still confused about 19w fog lights. as per philips h16 should be led fog bulb.

need to investigate that.

In my case, I booked in last week of March and got PBO, wanted to change the color from white to med silver, almost 10 days ago I went to the dealer with my PBO, asked him to change the color, he took my PBO, called someone on the telephone, he told the guy on the phone my PBO number and said isko white say change kar k med silver karna hai.. Then he gave PBO back to me and said k aapka color change ho jae ga IA, lekin 100% confirm nahi hai.. Ab jab aapki gari wahan (Karachi) say niklay gi tab hi pata chalay ga k color kya hai..
From that day I'm really confused that why he said that 100% confirm nai hai and why new PBO was not given? Is this the normal procedure ya uss dealer nay goli di hai? Keeping in mind that I've still 3 months before delivery.

The dealer kept my original PBO and gave me another print out mentioning change of variant. Later it was confirmed by an IMC reminder to pay balance payment.

When I went to take delivery he asked me for PBO and I told him you kept he and he remembered. He saw my original CNIC and handed over the car after I showed them their stamped print out about variant change.

I bet you understand how painful it was for me to get the over spray eliminated, hidden scratches and paint imperfections corrected. At least a good polish / waxing could have been offered by the concerned 3S Dealership, since it's no use if IMC did the job.

Thank you for the great work today. People at office were wondering why getting a zero meter car "polished" and some said they don't understand what is happening. But in the end they noticed the difference. Thanks for knowledge transfer and great tip to keep the car in great nick.

I am not good at car photography so might not have done justice to the work and capture the shine and silk look you have given.
