Brother we are thinking to go to areas you visited last year

please share with us the details of hotels,

expenses, camping info (how many times you camped under open sky)

did you get puncture tool kit ??

and you made your tour without sideboxes, instead you used a bag tied on rear seat

you recommend bag or side boxes

if yes please share price of that

and if you want to share other info then it would be a fovour for us

So many questions to answer in a single thread I will try my best to do so.

First of all You should go single on each bike. Pillion riding will be tiresome for both riders and bike soon

Its called Machchi lock. It is used to grip broken wires. You will get easily from spare parts shop when u ask for it.

Zip Tie (Price Range = Cheap)

    Necessaries for long route -1691294

You should have some rubber band hooks to tie your luggage and saddle boxes. Yet the boxes should also tie up as strongly as possible otherwise they can slipped from mounts.

Duct Tape.. A very handy item to fix broken items because its very strong.

Long Rubber Shoes. Very handy item during rain and water fall splashes. There are many water falls that crosses from the road. you won't fear passing those if you have long rubber shoes on. They are very grippy and can be used as riding shoes.

Necessaries for long route - NMSAFETY pvc rain boots cheap rain boots 350x350

About the puncture kit you can ask from some friendly puncture wala near your home.He will guide you for sure. it shouldn't be more then 5 to 600 for complete kit.

About the spare parts and Tube etc you can talk to the shop keeper that you will return the items which remain un used after the tour. Thats how you can save some money.

I agree with Omar suggestion, you should go with like minded people. Who's riding stamina and way of thinking matches with you. Otherwise both parties will suffer.

They plan isb group have shared is pretty hardcore for the first time long rider. Even going to Naran Kaghan isn't easy for first time rider.
    You got two option.

    1. Gather bunch of like minded people and got with them. If you can find someone who has already been their on bike it would be a plus. Tour becomes very much easy when you have are riding in form of a group.

    2. Goto naran with those Isb guys then stick with your own plan let them go. You will gain experience till then and can manage the rest. But keep in mind that are already nearly 6 to 7 hours away from them. Add this in your schedule and take proper rest once you reach Isb before moving forward.

    Some more advises...

Don't take hilly area for granted. Riding in hilly area is pretty different than plan land. Ride sensibly. Relax and don't over do. Take proper break whenever required and you feel tired. You aren't going to prove anything you are going to enjoy it so enjoy the scenery and give proper time to every spot you visit. Don't just go to increase miles your bike try to enjoy every bit of it.

If you are going to Naran Kaghan then Babusar top should be your target, Batakundi, Jalkhad, LuluSar lake will come in your way and believe these are worth seeing places. Lanscape totally changes after you cross Naran and its pleasure to ride.

Make your detailed plan and share here. Like Day 1 Target, Day2 Target. Every Day should be further distributed to destination with estimated time. e.g. Day 1 200 km leave 5 am from fsd Reach isb at ??? pm where you are going to stay. This will help you a lot and you will know where you are calculating wrong and where you are right. Tourist season would be on peak after Eid so to avoid rush Wake up early like 5 or max 6 am Daily and you should be on road before 7 am. That's how you can avoid rush on road and enjoy the maximum.

Avoid staying at prime places like Naran or kaghan rather than stay little remote area like Batakundi etc. You will save a lot of money due to difference in rent.

Here are some teaser for you from my Naran trip in 2014,
Somewhere after Naran, (This is how you pack. Tie up everything properly.)

First of all you must have all the essential safety gears i.e a good quality DOT approved helmet, elbow/knee guards, a good quality waterproof trouser with jacket, wind breaker jacket and a pair of waterproof rugged high ankle shoes.

If you want to save some bucks then buy good quality camp, sleeping mattress, sleeping bag, inflatable pillow and a polar fleece light weight blanket.

Side boxes to carry fuel, tool kit, puncture kit and other essential accessories i.e gear, brake levers, head/tail light bulbs, throttle/clutch cable, tubes. Do carry spare front/rear tyres.

Trunk box to carry your utensils, stove, food and tea items.

A good quality tank bag to carry your important gears like DSLR, Compact, handycams, USBs, Cell Phones, Extra batteries, power banks and you important documents and maps.

Last but not least spent Rs. 1000/ on first aid kit, easily available at all medical and super stores.

A loaded bike picture attached for a reference:
