Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

You don't have refrigerant pressure sensor present. Next !

Means that 5V is dummy signal? So I'm gonna give it 12V to bypass it???

That 5V is controlled ground, sensor ground, or sensor output whatever you say..... It is a legit signal, which your pressure sensor requires.... not you

Btw, it should be checked on pin 58 or 109?

(I checked on 109, red wire)

And if refrigerant pressure sensor is present, it is supposed to give either 0V or 12V. No mention of 5V anywhere...!!!

Bhai jaan, refrigerant pressure sensor is placed on the AC drier bottle..... As your Condensor and its bottle are not from the N16, so the 99.99% chances are you don't have that RPS. RPS is not a part of engine sensors. It is placed alongside the condensor, in the drier bottle. I hope you got it now.

Roger sir. Solution? (other than putting the N16 stuff). Don't tell me that my fans will always remain on due to this RPS issue

Your 14 # pin will connect to the "function" point of the relay, consider it as a ground and the other side of it will be connected to 12V from fusebox. Other four wires of the relay will simultaneously operate both fans, one ground each and one 12V to fans each. You will need a God-Damn 6-point Nissan Relay in your Fuse-Box.

    @IsbCap

and for your information, Nissan's both fans operate together, just for a few seconds, say 3-4 seconds and it takes times to reach to the operating temperature from cold. Tested many times.

love those brown twin bridge relays from Nissan.

btw dont forget to make solid connections and solder them too along with heatshrink. There is a lot of difference in twist tape and solder connection performance.

Thanks sir. Guess what, I already had all that on paper. And luckily, that 6-point Nissan relay is sleeping for a long long time in the relay box . Just need to test it.

Actually I was expecting the pin # 14 to be 12V first up, till the temp goes up to 90 in the idle mode. Then ECU makes it 0V and circuit completed, relay energized, fans running

PRS? Who needs it if some calculated "juggar" can bypass it?

The relay is there. I need another for ECU relay. Went to khadda market and asked them for 6 pin relay. Nobody had any...
