Default QG15DE rebuilt in Nissan b13

As we all know, excessive heat and lack of knowledge of coolant usage in our people and inappropriate maintenance costs some serious damage to these nissan built machines.

This machine also caught some inappropriate handling by illiterate mechanics and electricians along with some scrappies who are keen to swap you the engines in cheapest possible cost which in other word means scrappies are looting you by compromising quality.

This time it was sanab gul and as usual ameer ustad played badly with a very respectful and decent person asif.fareed
Engine was giving poor fuel economy i.e 8-9km/L on local and was hesitating badly while accelerating it.

    Idle was very rough.

Timing chain was having pley and this increased with passage of time and it used to sometimes shut down and start after hard cranking for like 4-5mins.

All sensors were verified on a running setup of QG15de.

    Coils were short.

But when mr asif visited ameer ustad he was told this problem would disappear after throttle body replacement.

So he took 4-5k. But since malangi brothers are master of hit n trial so they cleaned every sensor and plugs so car idled good for the time being.

But when he returned to wah and used his car there the problem repeated itself many times. Now his 4-5k was gone in this guess game.

He is very busy person and couldn't take much time out for diagnosis.

His car heated twice, reason was no coolant bottle and the pipe was left alone dripping water out. He was new to nissan and was new to this car completely.

Anyways he contacted me for the whole diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Faults detected were : poor tb that ameer gave him.
    Coils were short.

Then car was blowing out coolant even after bottle was installed.

Cold start was very poor even autochoke was in working order.

So i told him it's timing chain and head gasket.

On 14th june 2016 at morning he came to rawalpindi at haj complex.

Plugs were black and oily+water on tips.

Anyways we pulled the head up.

Founs out, loose timing chain was rubbing with oil pumps body and a metal piece was broken from there. Head gasket was blown.

Valves were leaking which you'd be able to see in the pictures I'll post.

Rings were loose piston were dancing in the cylinders.

Clutch plate was also slipping up badly, release bearing roaring

So valves were polished and ports were polished too. Gats were changed. Piston pins had pley.

So we got head facing done too. Cylinder walls were good.
    But were slightly polished.

Engine will be in working condition tommorow inshallah and I'll be posting out photos of this project and will post details too slowly.

Someone misguided him for the senden compressor for ac and it wasn't Giving cooling on this engine. And was exerting bad load on engine.

Ac work has to be done soon and I've recommended him genuine compressor of QG15de.

Moreover suspension job is required and thats the next stage.

So basically some of his friends were telling him to sell the car and go for a corolla 88 or corona.

And i told him restoring this car will cost u 70-80k or even if 1lac. In price of selling this car and adding even 2lacs more you won't get a smooth and calm looking car.

Kaam hongay unmein bhi and paisay lagengay so why not giving nissan a try. Now he is very happy with my idea and have thought on it. And will be mashallah enjoying cool n calm ride of this b13 mini monster.

The head is not in proper shape it should be glass finished so that it can seal HG properly.

It is in proper shine and finish. Camera quality is not nice, light is dull. And it will seal headgasket properly. This is not the first time bro.
Have a runny QG15de too. It has done 3years approximately. I've user that for two hears and now with a friend so.

    Thumbs up

Basically i own this car. First of let me warn you SANAB GUL is the second name of fraud. His rates are cheaper but hands you low quality parts. I was experiencing the same problem since i got the engine. It used to stall very badly, shut down very frequently, poor fuel average. i tried to take help from pak wheels but did not get any luck. So was ready to change the car. but then i contaced mr. Danyal and told him about all the faults. rest you know the story from above.

The car will be handed over to me tomorrow InshaAllah. Hoping for a robust and economical response from this machine this time. I will surely post my reivews once i get my hand on this machine after rebuilt. till then "Peace"

Head gasket for QG15 is available easily?

I have a very good experience with the engine provided by Sanab (and that too at much cheaper price than others). Its been three years of powerful and economic running with zero issues so far. My cousin also got the engine from him, had some troubles with generator, self and a sensor. But engine itself is working fine.

you say its got proper shine, I can literally see scratch marks from the milling machine - your machinist is too poor to invest in cutting dies for heads that take MLS gaskets?

your machinist has refinished this on paper/fiber gasket standard

Xulfiqar, he is genious you know. If he can reduce the Piston ring size from 90mm to the required one then he can do anything....

No harsh feelings dani ... Just kidding.

@Xulfiqar bro it's very simple your comments are of no use to me and have never helped me so i think you are free to debate anywhere. But i won't reply you after this.

You're always mocking everyone on every forum and everyone complains about that.

So i think you should chill. Cheers bro. Thanks for ur time.

And head finishing is up to standards thanks for your analysis.

I don't want such seniors to post on my topics.
There knowledge is of no use to me. I've a successful experience of building QG15de so it's my headache to get the right things for my engines and these projects.

lol if you have successful experiance why post about your rebuild on a public forum, its a normal thing for you so why post about your work? and if you are posting on a public forum why are you getting offended if people are contradicting or offering constructive criticism which they have a right to, you cant ask them to not post on your thread on a public forum. its not the camera, marks are clearly visible i also believe they would create problems later, we are all here to share and learn, take it as experience and never goto the same machinist again. thats how we all learn and improve.

I've never faced issues at all with that head facer so as far as things are going good then I guess that's why i am saying I've never faced the issues even the engines have crossed 1lac km mark successfully. So since my logics don't match with his. No purpose of comments than? If i will be requiring some help regarding any issue I'll ask it openly no harm in that.
    So no problems with that.
