As we all know, excessive heat and lack of knowledge of coolant usage in our people and inappropriate maintenance costs some serious damage to these nissan built machines.
This machine also caught some inappropriate handling by illiterate mechanics and electricians along with some scrappies who are keen to swap you the engines in cheapest possible cost which in other word means scrappies are looting you by compromising quality.
This time it was sanab gul and as usual ameer ustad played badly with a very respectful and decent person asif.fareed
Engine was giving poor fuel economy i.e 8-9km/L on local and was hesitating badly while accelerating it.
Idle was very rough.
Timing chain was having pley and this increased with passage of time and it used to sometimes shut down and start after hard cranking for like 4-5mins.
All sensors were verified on a running setup of QG15de.
Coils were short.
But when mr asif visited ameer ustad he was told this problem would disappear after throttle body replacement.
So he took 4-5k. But since malangi brothers are master of hit n trial so they cleaned every sensor and plugs so car idled good for the time being.
But when he returned to wah and used his car there the problem repeated itself many times. Now his 4-5k was gone in this guess game.
He is very busy person and couldn't take much time out for diagnosis.
His car heated twice, reason was no coolant bottle and the pipe was left alone dripping water out. He was new to nissan and was new to this car completely.
Anyways he contacted me for the whole diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Faults detected were : poor tb that ameer gave him.
Coils were short.
Then car was blowing out coolant even after bottle was installed.
Cold start was very poor even autochoke was in working order.
So i told him it's timing chain and head gasket.
On 14th june 2016 at morning he came to rawalpindi at haj complex.
Plugs were black and oily+water on tips.
Anyways we pulled the head up.
Founs out, loose timing chain was rubbing with oil pumps body and a metal piece was broken from there. Head gasket was blown.
Valves were leaking which you'd be able to see in the pictures I'll post.
Rings were loose piston were dancing in the cylinders.
Clutch plate was also slipping up badly, release bearing roaring 
So valves were polished and ports were polished too. Gats were changed. Piston pins had pley.
So we got head facing done too. Cylinder walls were good.
But were slightly polished.
Engine will be in working condition tommorow inshallah and I'll be posting out photos of this project and will post details too slowly.
