Which Engine Oil is best for Honda CD-70 and CG-125

What you rocommend and why ?

Mobil is the best of them all in 20W50.

Zic 10W40 is a new arrival, haven't checked it yet, might be a good one though.

Ranking of some famous brands as per my opinion is as below,

1 Liqui Moly
2 Mobil
3 Caltex
4 ZIC
5 PSO(Castrol)
6 Shell
7 Total

But more then a brand u also needs to know the specific grade requirments of particular engine in which u r gona use Oil.
As u r refering to CD 70 & CG125 so both these bikes are recomended to use 20W-40 grade oil & as per my info the best available oil of this grade in Pakistan is by Caltex (Supreme Five star) & the second good option is Atlas Honda Genuine oil by Total.

Honda recomend its genuine oil in its bike for 2100Km use & as far as my own experience is concern i m using Caltex Supreme five star in my bike since 1996 & it has driven around 85000Km but still no engine maintence is done nor required & i used to replace the oil after 2000 Km.

Which Engine Oil is best for a new Mehran running on CNG/Petrol and where to get genuine Lubricants from, as theres a lot of counterfieting going on.

I think the recomended Oil grade for Mehran is 10W-40. The CNG specific lubricants available in pakistan includes Havoline CNG by Caltex & Helix CNG by Shell but both these oils fall in 20W-50 grade.
As far as availability of Genuine product is concern mostly the famous Fuel station & distributor doesnt cheat but the good measure before pouring oil into ur car u can do is to check the brand seal under the cap, the smell, & the color of lubricant one more safety measure is to make practice to get the oil changed in front of ur eyes never leave machanic alone during the process as mostly they cheats on that time when the owner is away.
BTW some people might not agree wid me on that smell & color thing check but if u are keen obserever then u can judge the subject product this way.

Its been a while since our last meet at Bahria, I guess there should be another in coming days. Me and Hassam r planning to visit SpitFire sir's spitfire and carsyard tomorrow inshallah.
coming back to subject, is there any place or particular lube shop you know of, that sells genuine oils, I suspect that most of them dont sell genuines.

Any more suggestions for best oil for mehran with cng, i m previously using Shell Helix (blue with 5000 kms) earlier used shell helix red (with cng and 3000 kms on my khyber)

anyway, MOBIL is considered to be the best along ZIC for both cars and Bikes.

@ fsx: Suzuki guys also recommended me to use MOBIL and the used the same when i went for my first oil change...

Just came to know that shell is also offering Helix Super CNG Its in yellow bottle & recomnded SAE grade is also 10W-40.

BTW if ur still doubted about the availability of genuine product then i will suggest u the shop its on montgomery road the famous Filter House they people distributs diffrent brands including Liqui moly, Mobil, Zic, etc.

As far as oil in blue Shell bottle is concern its Helix Plus semi synthetic & can serve even more than 5000 Km but its recomneded for modern engines so go through the mentioned link they will giude u to select proper oil.

And what is the chractersitcs of this type of Engine Oil?

And how this is different from other brands of engine Oil?

After what Distance it should be changed?

Liqui Moly is best & most expensive auto lube available in Pakistan its fully synthetic in type. But unfortunately not available in specific grade/category required for CG 125 so just try to understand that more than the brand the specific grade/cat requirment is more important for health of an engine.
As far recomendations of mechanics & dealers are concern at least i didnt believe them wid out any solid proof.
Manufacturer who designs the vehicle knows better then all of us so that we shud follow his recomendations.

as far as i have experienced for my bike!
the total(genuine oild from honda)is good!
it keeps ur engine harder!
and the bike goes superb!
i mean feals like new!nice for some agresive drive.

after every 700 to 800 and max 1000km/s.
and bike is going well MASHALLAH.
even touches 100 km/h many times.

Why not use Honda Genuine Motor Oil. Its supposed to be for all their machines - automotive, marine, lawn mowers, snow blowers etcetera.

Try to avoid caltax oils in our local bikes....Its most wanted but most bad in quality.A very experienced machenic told me this!
Plus due to highest demand of Caltex its FAKE copies are also widely available and that are extremely extremely harmful to engines....
I recommend Shell and Total Oils.....

What about the new oil Zepex? I have heard praises of it from mechanics for use both in bikes and cars. Right now both my bikes are running on this oil.
