    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

Sorry bro for the late reply!

    1. Please visit few pages back for an idea about exterior modifications. You wont find exact matching accessories for your Racer but have to custom made.

    2. Regarding the speedo lights, do visit and electrician to install LED instead of bulbs.

    3. You can install any rim of your choice provided the PCD and centre hub diameter matches, for that you have to visit rim-tyre shop.

    4. As far as tyre are concerned, I am using "Dunlop Lemans" and are nice.

    by the way

    test driver bhai

wat u think wat should be taken care of while overhauling the stock engine of the woo?

plz elaborate a bit coz i m in a remote area (interior Sindh) n need to overhaul the engine at my own

there are machinists available can do wat ever best can be done

i need special attention points for this important task

btw i checked up from a guy in khi abt fitting DOHC head on stock block

but he told me the block itself is also required to be replaced as it has some extra sensors which are necessary fo smoothe operation of twin cam engine.

plz elaborate abt both the possiblities

    thnx in advance

    1. Overlhaul is basically mechanical procedure to remake old engine, it has no concern whether the engine is TBi, EFi, SOHC/DOHC/OHV etc. You can take your car to any expert mechanic and he can overhaul it with no problem. The only problem will be arranging genuine parts and for that you have to go to Karachi for purchasing.Contact Mr. Muhammad Ali (0321-3823886) in Karachi for further assistance.

    2. The guy who told you about DOHC head over stock block is wrong! Currently I am using Racer's block with DOHC engine for the past three years Ma'Sha'Allah without any problem. Basically the block is same and there is a cavity for Crank Sensor (if required), and CAM sensor (if required) in both blocks. Only TPS phase is reverse and you can install from Chevrolet Optra.

IMO you will take a chance in buying Kabli engine as you wont have any idea about it's usage, better get the engine overhauled and remember to use genuine parts.

bro do you mean the Air Pressure Monitoring Gauge?

I dont think you would need to alter it for ur Racer.....these after-market parts are pretty much universal, it should fit without mods on your MAP sensor

we are talking abt the same thing
Air Pressure Monitoring Gauge=Air Pres, yeah I know it fits there with other gauges at the place u mentioned; I would say it should fit without any issues, if it works with any GM car like Chevy Optra/Cobalt it should work with Daewoo, but still check do the research ur self too its better to be on the safe side

    called side window air deflectors.

    @mostwanted_legend

There are no specific air deflector for Daewoo Racer, but I think you can check the Alto VXR's fitting.
