@sbrana, thanks a lot for the offer, I am obliged.

Problem is I use the bike for me and for my family, so fuel tank design is not suitable for me.. Plus I need comfort and power which GS provides because I travel daily about 60 kms. Finally price turned me off completely.

Storm may prove itself a good bike but it does not suit my needs.

@imi361, I think the rider seat is comfortable enough but not sure about the pillion, specially if used by women. Now gas tank is not a seat so I do not agree with you but I do strongly agree that the price is too much to sell this bike in huge numbers. You may also see very few GS-150s and deluxes while they are still very good bikes. They are just too expensive. And nobody knows the reliability at this time of the bike.

to bring out a new product, the price should start low..then when you see many ppl buying it..u can add more parts thus increasing the price a bit

thats true too but from all of these posts..i see they dont even let you test drive it..so before you buy a bike which you have no experience with or kn0wledge of or no feedback about..do you really want to to pay alot? just a thought..

well I hate the NO test drive thing, but the reality is that thousands of people want a test ride, so here is how you do get a test ride, take your cheque book with you, and fill a leaf to buy the bike, then put the cheque in your own pocket and demand a test ride, you'll get it. But you need to have a very good excuse not to hand over the cheque

Anyways booked mine today and will be riding it tomorrow or day after inshaAllah.

I rode a bike after around three years but it took me 2 minutes to get my confidence back and hit 40 kmph. I must say it has a very good suspension or a comfortable seat.

Now, the user manual specs are a bit different from the brochure, I will try to find some time to scan the user manual for you guys. It is very detailed and has a lot of DYI maintenance with pictures which I have not seen in Pakistan before. The toolkit also is very comprehensive and you can nearly disassemble the whole bike with those.

Now should we have a separate Fan/Owners club or you guys think I should add all the details / pics here?

The meter lights are colorcoded and looks really s**y at night.

@mamehmood, I'll create the fan club tonight InshaAllah. Actually I am down with a bad flu. But will leave to pick up the bike in a couple of hours somehow. The 20 km ride back should give me a good idea about the machine unless I get too sick to ride.

@mamehmood, quite disappointing start is that the fuel lines are leaking the bike is in a pool of gas outside and as my worst fears are being realized you would want me to load the bike on a truck back to the dealer. Which is unacceptable for me and being an engineer, I am sure I can fix it myself but in day time, probably by morning the tank would be empty anyways. So there goes your QC.

@mamehmood, the fuel valve assembly was not attached to the gas tank properly and nuts were just screwed by hand, when I tried to use the wrench, it just kept on going for a while till it was actually tightened. Your bad QC not only wasted me a lot of fuel but also made the situation a potential hazard given the number of people who smoke outside in the streets.

@mamehmood, I appreciate your response. When the dealer was pushing me to fill the tank, I rather went with my instincts and only got Rs. 500/- worth of fuel thinking about the extra weight of a full tank.

The point here is that there easily could have been a fire which could have caused damage to a lot of things, so my point here is that the assembly line and QC have to have strict checklists and no job should become a routine. Rs. 400/- is not a huge amount for a company like HKF but its the reputation that is at stake here. QC should be solid, fool proof.

You must have heard quality issues with Indus and Paksuzuki and I bought zero meter Cuore then later Liana and in bought cases had no quality issues to be blamed on the manufacturer. I bought a zero meter Hero 70 some years ago and right at the time of delivery the clutch was not working properly, so in my experience your QC is as bad as Hero if not worse.

Your bike is a head turner and already some people have had test rides on my bike and admired it but when I give them the address of the dealer in Pindi they suddenly loose interest. Now this is only the information I can give you at this time that to sell in Islamabad you need a dealer in Islamabad.
