    Default Toyota Passo/Daihatsu Boon Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this thread is to discuss and share views regarding Daihatsu boon/Toyota passo and to provide a common platform for the owners and potential buyers to discuss the car.
    Passo/Boon has become quite popular in the last 2 or 3 months. People are getting curious to know about this car which offers better features than the overpriced 1000cc vitz in a better price tag. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. Realistic advices on prices regarding the condition and model of car will be provided.

    pull it down and you adjust your steering height according to your comfort... push it up and it will lock the position where you want it.

    yup as Huzaifa mentioned even if you force it down it wont break. However if you really are applying force and its not coming down then perhaps it might be stuck...but with the screen shot you posted it seems to be well greased....so try to shove it down a bit harder///

    Also im not sure if it has anything to do with the steering lock....try turning on your switch and then push it down...maybe the steering lock is restricting the movement.

    Yes CNG can work as it is 4 A/T transmission
    Prices of bodyparts are higher , only side mirrors cost 15k (retracable ones)
    it hits speed bumps with 5 adults on board
    it cannot outrun swift as it is 1000 cc

    The steering wheel hasn't probably been adjusted in ages and might be kinda stuck. Apply a tiny bit of force and see it that works out for ya. Don't apply too much force, that could mess something up!
    Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

    I have recently bought a Passo 2008. It came with NDCN-W54. After struggling a couple of days finally I managed to download the software from the internet. I burned a CD for boot and my DVD unit is working fine now but its language is Japanese.

    Is there any possibility to change the language to English? What are the other possibilities?

    @us000 I really appreciate your DIY project of installing the NDDA-W55

    @shnawaz,

    i didnt do any thing except changing the oil, oil filter and air filter .... and just recently have changed tires 2 days ago
    the only thing that counts is that the importer has handed it over to me as it is & didnt change any thing at all i heard showrooms are changing the plugs of passo which is reducing the mileage check if u have original plugs ... the original plugs are longer than normal plugs and are iridium plugs

    Till what speed does the eco light stay on?

    If you know, can you explain to me what the eco function does in this car? I know when the light is on, it means car is running at most efficient fuel consumption.. but in easy words, what exactly does the eco function does in simple words? All cars when driven with light foot consume lesser fuel so is there any added advantage of having a car with eco function as you will still have to drive with light foot to keep that light on?
