We just got our Alabaster Silver Civic VTI oriel P/T delivered.

when we received our car from Honda City sales, we were quite surprised when we saw the engine bay. Honda is quite against covering the components of the engine bay

as reference i'm adding a pic of our 2002 civics engine bay:

After getting the car, we immediately went to the tyre shop and got yokohama advan DB v550 205/65 R15
cost of replacement of factory fitted eurostars: 22,000

Bro, have you seen the water reservoir (for the engine coolant)? ... Wait, you can't - cause you might need to remove your battery to check the level of water

I have the same car (in a different color). Was really dumbfounded to see the hidden water reservoir. As if the engineers forgot to add it in the design and did it at the last minute

Btw, congrats. And nice color. Had it not been for my wife opposing this color, I would have also gotten the same color. It truly stands out in this new civic. And its an excellent car - you ll definitely enjoy it

Where did you guys get the tyres from? And dis you guys also trade in the honda fitted eurostars and the price difference was 22k?

The eurostars that come with the car have 195/15 specs. I am no expert on wheels, but how did you manage to fit a taller 16 inch and wider tyre on the same factory fitted rims? Cause these do look exactly the same rims as the the ones that honda gives with the oriels.

the drive is extremely comfortable and i just love the dash. though it took 30 minutes for me to familiarize myself with everything but when u know what button does what, its not distracting at all.
The navigation system is pretty good and doesn't lag. The bluetooth system paired with my phone easily and it's working perfectly.
The screen does have some interesting features such as "calculator", "international clothes sizes", "unit converter"
The DVD player is of good quality. I just wish the screen was tilted a little but more towards the passengers side because it cant seen clearly from that angle.
There are 2 USB input wires in the glovebox, one in which u can connect your ordinary usb and the other one in which u can connect your USB internet device and access the internet through your screen. Quite pointless but good if you have nothing to do while waiting in the car in traffic,etc.

The speedometer is awesome. As we have upgraded from a 2002 civic (we didn't buy the reborn model) , we're quite excited to see the colors change when you accelerate and deccelerate.
The IMID could do with more data such as tyre pressure, G force maybe and other gimmics available in hot hatches aborad (considering the 1800cc civic is regarded as a hot hatch in UK).

The rear legroom is alot more than the 2002 civic, and slighlty more than the reborns.

Thank god they've a compartment between the front seats now.

The front sun visors are of better quality than the 2002 civic. The sunroof seems a bit bigger than that model as well.
Sunroof is a must, it gives the car an airy feeling and u also get rear map light as well, which when switched on doesn't disturb the driver at all. This feature was also in our 2002 civic and this used alot especially during night driving on the motorway with rear passengers

The door buttons are of good quality and the doors are "heavy", and don't feel flimsy like the city.
no offence to city lovers, but i find the doors of the city a bit substandard

the steering is small and extremely light, and the controls on it are very useful.
thank god for cruise control. this was a must have, especially if you drive a lot on the motorway and ring road.
Dual airbags and 4 speakers. the speakers quality is good. I'm not an audiophile but our previous 2002 civics speakers sucked big time

now for the complaints, as i mentioned on the civic 2013 fan club thread, i found a majority of the showroom cars with a faulty boot closing mechanism. you close the boot like normal and it opens again. u close it force and it opens again.
this car too has the same problem. i checked other new cars ready for delivery at the showrom and they all had the same problem.
i went to the honda showroom today and discussed this with the mechanic and he says that this is how all civics are coming. this will be resolved eventually but for now he has asked me to close the boot by placing both hands on either side of the honda logo and close it with gentle "love" :S
so that's what i'm doing but not everyone will understand this. especially the servants who will keep banging the boot till it closes.
anyway, honda says that they will contact me if there's a recall and i've them my contact details. no matter how high the price of this car is, the honda sales people and mechanics are really nice and helpful.

another problem that annoyed me alot when this car came out on the roads... the rear mudguards are loose!! i've seen this on all cars. actually the honda company has not though of screwing the mudguard from the other end causing it to become lose and then eventually hang.
Honda, for Gods sake please sort out the boot mechanism and give your delivery mechanics a drill and a small screw so that they can secure the mudguard

Congrats bro.. keep going.. I have a reborn prosmatec and I want to replace my dad's city with this but let it keep coming. Am happy with the reborn though so am not thinking of replacing it.
