Bro, have you seen the water reservoir (for the engine coolant)? ... Wait, you can't - cause you might need to remove your battery to check the level of water

I have the same car (in a different color). Was really dumbfounded to see the hidden water reservoir. As if the engineers forgot to add it in the design and did it at the last minute

Btw, congrats. And nice color. Had it not been for my wife opposing this color, I would have also gotten the same color. It truly stands out in this new civic. And its an excellent car - you ll definitely enjoy it

Where did you guys get the tyres from? And dis you guys also trade in the honda fitted eurostars and the price difference was 22k?

Can you be specific on the immobiliser function. Its in reborn too but I guess car theive start it directly through wires bypassing it in 10 seconds.

oh no, don't even think of replacing reborn. its almost the same as the reborn but with a few extra screens and gimmicks
but yes, think about replacing the city. your dad deserves the comfort of a big car and this won't let you down in the comfort department atleast

the climate control is nice, i have had it with the knobs. good to see a feature introduced a dozen years ago abroad now coming in PDMs

the screen is not clear at all in the sun. AMOLED technology as in seen in samsung phones would be a nice feature.

a false alarm that "alarmed me" and caused an immediate visit to the honda showroom was when i couldn't insert the cd properly. normally, all over the world, in every car, cd player the cd is put in horizontally. But honda disagreed and made the opening horizontal but you have to insert the cd at an angle.

Lolx..! Dont know about the 2002 but in this model it is slightly out to the console box. For the ease of the driver. Check the reborn one it is more than this.

and we don't intend to sell it till after 10 years.
then we shall sell it for 15 lacs, and add 50 lacs (the way the prices are increasing) to get the new civic

The verdict :
this car is worth the price , which actually is 20 lacs. the lovely government has imposed a tax of 17% taking the price to 24 lacs. another token of love from the government has increased the price of registration (through honda) to 140,000.
so the total price with tyres replacement (WHICH IS A MUST) comes out be 25.5 lacs.

this price gives u a variety of options, such as C class Old model of course used and most probably abused, toyota mark x, prado 96, toyota permio, prius, bmw 3 series old model, etc... but this car has everything they have...
cruise control, ABS, climate control, all sorts of screens, airbags, immobilizer and most importantly this is new and has warranty. This is what all JDM's, UKDM's have.

for a person like my father, who needs a reliable and comfortable car, this is the right choice. Corolla could've been considered if it has some security feature and nowadays,and because it's being used as a taxi, its kind of a turn off. i know this statement is quite immature but well, that's me

this car is 100% approved by us and it doesn't matter if the parts are of low quality. if anything falls off, honda will always take care of it.
Honda City Sales has been taking care of our cars (2002 and 2005 civic) since 11 years now. and it's like home. So as far as that's concerned, we've no issue.

but because of the gimmicks, its hard not to ignore the fact that something will go wrong.
for example, a friends driver removed the battery clamp and when he re attached it, the revs of the car and all the screen functions went hay wire. This was immediately fixed by honda but its freaky nonetheless

so if no illiterate person drives your cars and you are the sole driver, this is the right car for you. for people who want to be driven by jahil drivers, its best you buy a corolla.

so thats my review. i will keep updating you guys with problems and tuning, etc.

i've a swift and a daihatsu move, both with immobilizer feature,.
i've personally checked it out in the daihatsu and it works pretty well...the horn starts honking and all the lights flash until u use the original key.
i can't say much about the feature on this car. but i will update u when i get any info

i've noticed another thing... the finish of the new civic is worse than that of our 2005 civic. Someone pointed that out to me. you have to look at an angle to notice this. and i'm sure these pictures won't explain it either but as everyone says "a post is useless without pics"
