Driving 40km/h above the speed limit gets you jail time. It's mentioned on the motorway police website, nothing new.
Mostly it's not the speed that results in accident. It's that people just don't know how to drive. Licensing authority is giving licenses without proper testing. People don't know how to drive.
There are people driving at 80km/hr and there are people driving way above 120km/h. Driving on the motor way has become a pain. You find yourself constantly changing lanes.
So if you are doing 120km/h you have to change lane to overtake the car infront driving at slower speed, but when you try to change lanes, the car behind in the fast lane is usually coming at you 150km/h and they start flashing high beams a mile away. Some people are so dumb they don't care too see the other car is overtaking a slower car and allow that other car some time to finish overtaking and then move back to the middle lane. They keep on flashing the stupid HIDs.
HIDs, I don't understand why people install them, if you can't see with genuine corolla lights then you don't need better lights, you need your eyes tested. Night blindness is real.
Motorway police need to enforce speed limit to people who drive slower than 120km/h. These people cause unnecessary commotion at very high speed which often results in accident.
Some people don't check their side mirrors and shoulder before changing lanes. You must let pass the cars that are too close. You must indicate and wait for 3 flashes and make sure there is no car close behind before you proceed to change lane. The rule is when you change lane, the car coming behind in the other lane should not have to apply brakes and slow down for you. This helps with not slowing down the flow of the traffic.
