Guys.. My swift first 1000km checkup is due..
Please let me know what things to replace?
PSM dealership would recommend what would be in their own interest. But what should actually be done? As next checkup would be 5000kms.

It depends... If dealer has car in stock or arriving soon, then he may privilege you.. Otherwise its taking 30 days for swift.. I got 30 day delivery date but dealer obliged me within 2 days..

Usually dealerships have a schedule for service and parts....get a hand on that..the schedule have all the details upto 100k kms... best to stick to that....

Get the air filter changed too.

Why are you getting the transmission oil changed? As per the service timelines that wont be due at 10k km service

Check the service manual. First 1000km checkup is usually just inspecting the car, tightening any loose bolts. I got the oil checked and changed on my 1000km inspection, was just curious to see if I could see any metal shavings in the old oil

Make sure to stay with the car and take a look with the mechanic, they tend to be lazy. I kept the service booklet in my hand and we both went through it, step by step. Do the same on the 5000km inspection + transmission fluid change.

I personally used the gear oil that PS recommended, following the viscosity rating, never had any issues with the gear changes. You think that the gear shifting is hard? Get them to lubricate the gear cable which pushes the throwout bearing with some Blue Grease. Not with engine oil or anything, that accumulates dust.

Change engine oil, oil filter ( the oem 900+ rupee one ), spark plugs ( inspect them first ) , air filter, cabin filter, no need to change coolant, maybe topping up if needed and transmission oil was already changed at 5000km if you followed the service manual.
Turbo lag is like foreplay. You know it's coming. And it's gonna be good.

Swift manual says so about the engine oil specs..
Please recommend the appropriate specs oil available in the market.
    Thanks

    Default Pshhhhhhh noise from engine

lately ive noticed a unusual Pshhhhh sound coming from the car while driving( seems to be from the right side of the engine ( when seated in the drivers seat ). I parked it in Neutral and revved the engine and the sound starts consistently every time i hit 4500-5500 rpm . What could be the problem?

I think its either a faulty belt or bearing.

this car has about 60k on it, and is 2.5 years old approx . its been maintained by yours truly , taking care of spark plugs, belts and oil changes periodically.

Went to local mech, he fixed it in 10 min. Said the belt had tension/torsion issues, and was kind of loose, it started slipping at high rpm
