Only go for as recomended by the maunal. The guys working at Suzuki / Toyota really only know enough whatever problem they deal with.
I personally get all my maintenance from Imperial motors in Karachi they offer extremely high quality exclusive Japanese and US brand oils in 0w and 5w viscosities, and each last atleast upto 10-12k (personally experienced).
They also offer original Japanese filters, transmission fluids, spark plugs, belts and brakes.

Using fully synthetic oils and draining them after just 5k Kms is a shitty way to waste money.

1) Use the right viscosity.
2) have an appropriate drain interval

Semi synthetic is still better than mineral oils. I'm using Liqui Molly 10W-40, semi synthetic in my swift. I have seen a noticeable improvement in fuel consumption and car feels a lot smoother. Mineral oils degrade quickly at extreme temperatures we have here in Pakistan and in this case at least I can be sure that it will last upto 5k Kms easily. Always stick to manufacturer recommended viscosities.

Mobil 5w30 haven't been able to make a good impression, so it is not something unheard of. But the shop I, mentioned in my previous post do check them out. I am sure you will repeatedly go for their recommendations.

In my opinion, 0w-20 would be too thin for wagon R during summer time in Pakistan. Although, I'm not sure but I guess you could go for 0W-20 during winter time
