1.6Gli 2012 model Vs any japanese 660cc on highways

Dear members. I am interested to know which car will give me fuel saving from lahore to islamabad. 1600cc engine Corolla GLI super-ect 2012 model or 660cc japanese car?

A 1.6L engine will maintain lower rpm and will save more fuel

If driven responsibly, both cars will save fuel. However, in my opinion, a cvt equipped 660cc jdm will give better fuel milage. I say this because i recently drove one back from Lahore to Islamabad. I filled it up in about 1400, and still had slightly less than a quarter tank to spare.

A 660cc engine also appears to me as more fuel efficient. But most of the people suggest to use 1600cc super-ect with eco mode on. I drove 1000cc vitz 2004 model earlier with AC on from lahore to islamabad. it consumed more fuel than my 1600cc gli super-ect with AC on, on same route. I was expecting 1.6L to be more fuel consuming but it proved otherwise...

660 is supposed to be used in the city. not meant to be driven at 120 KM/Hr constantly.

1.6 GLI should be safer, smoother and probably wont be much of a difference on fuel as compared to 660 CC.

2004 Vitz is a gas guzzler. Anyways, i told you about my experience with a 2012 cvt mira with ac.

if you drive at 120 km/h, then 1600cc will give you better mileage and performance.
but if you drive at 60 km/h, then maybe both cars will give the same or probably 660cc will give you best mileage.

660cc are gor use within city at lower speeds.

gli will give your better mileage..
660 will be on higher rpm achieve 100 120kmh thus consuming more fuel.
