10-14 August 2018 Trek... Anyone?

AOA,

It's bit too early but there is a very good 4 days opportunity in august around Independence Day.

Blue arrows (Working day,6 hours available for the day)
Red Circle ( Official Off Days)
Yellow Square (Take a leave)

I am planning to do a moderate level trekking on those days.
May be "Musa ka Musala" and "Ansoo Lake" Trek.

Or if you have anything else in mind for those days you can suggest/join.
I am open to suggestions and advice from senior members.

I would prefer a trek in Swat/Naran to spend more time on trekking as compared to treveling.

Never did any Trekking before. SWAT and Naran already already visited.

Good to see you could avail that many leaves. But since I only have four days so I won't be able to travel to Gilgit side. I would rather travel to Swat/Naran to spend more time on actual trekking.

Based on your days, you can do Fairy Meadows, Hunza, Khunjerab trip, or Skardu, Shigar, Deosai.
Mostly 18 days are used for some longer trekking trip.

Yes I have done little bit trekking before.

Sitting home is waste of leaves. If I could get 18 leaves, I would be the happiest person in the world.
You can join a commercial group but their travel is not that long maximum 10 days from Karachi or so...

Currently there is no plan but fortunately there is a lot time.
We can gather up people and be on our way.
But if you have working Saturday, you won't be able to join as you will need to take Monday off as-well and if you take Saturday off, as per sandwich rule, you will be taking 3 days off.

Currently I am assuming we will reach Shinkiari by early morning on Saturday.
Reach the Summit of MKM and back to Naran by Monday night.

Then attempt Ansoo Lake on Tuesday (Independence Day).
And overnight travel to back home.

Dear @rehankillbill I am not a senior guy yar... I have never done any trekking for even two days.
I think you are from Karachi, and If someone is coming from Karachi, this trip would be very short for them as they have to travel a lot already.

What are your plans for September?

Right but I can avail half day on Saturday. Still I wont be able to catch you as you have plans of submitting MKM and ansoo lake BOTH in these 4 days. I will either go for MKM or Ansoo lake in 3 and half days with regular stops of camping and cooking etc

Ansoo Lake is one day trek. If you leave by Saturday night, you can trek on Sunday and come back and go to work on Monday

MKM is a 3 day task. Some can do it in two days and then there are people who have done it in one day.

You know you can always plan for the longest and during the trek if you feel like it, you can cover more distance and change it.

Planning is iterative process, You change and update the plan depending on capabilities, weather and other factors.

As far I know you have more experience than me in travelling and atleast u done more trek than me again is hesaab se u become senior haha.

I'm planning to go Astore-Rama-Deosai-Skardu this year on Bakra Eid.
